I happily give Hermes 5 star rating as I find them really efficient. The lady who delivers my parcels is genuinely helpful as I’m a permanent wheelchair user and also have a boisterous Jack Russell who tries so hard to escape when I open the door to her. She’s great and makes sure I receive my parcels in good condition. She also is happy to pass the machine through to me so I can sign it without losing my dog. She offers to put larger parcels inside for me so I don’t drop them if heavy. Hermes I find to be very good at allowing me to keep track of my orders but they’re also fast and efficient and unlike one or two other couriers who have delivered to our address and haven’t made much effort to be certain someone is in and that’s happened twice within the last few days, Hermes driver/s always leave notification if we’re out or at the very least knock louder to catch our attention should we not have heard them the first time. Our courier is very regular very polite and again very helpful. I’m more then happy to recommend Hermes. Marie Bull

I ordered items for a delivery before Christmas to my work address where there is 24/7 reception. I noted that if I was unavailable to leave with reception. I received a message from MyHermes on the 22nd Dec saying out for delivery. No delivery. The 23rd saying out for delivery. I sat for 3 hours at my work address waiting to see a message appear saying no one available and no safe place. I was there and no one turned up! I complained and gave my mobile number so the driver can call me when on way. The 27th I had another message saying out for delivery. I had no call from the driver. I then had another message saying no one available and no safe place to leave. I called MyHermes again and after a 30 min wait spike to someone who suggested I had been in holiday and the driver had no where to leave parcel. I had not been on holiday and it’s a 24/7 reception. 28th, 29,30th, 31st I received the same messages. Out for delivery then a few hours later no one available and no safe place to leave it! On the 31st I called customer service again after a 53 min wait I manage to speak to someone and they cut me off! Today Thursday 2nd January my parcel arrives! What a joke. If the delivery driver wants time off over Christmas then they shouldn’t commit and they certainly shouldn’t lie saying they have tried to delivery! It’s a good job my parcel wasn’t a main Christmas present for anyone! MyHernes are a bunch of jokers!

This seriously is the worst courier I have ever used. Last year I sent a parcel to a friend. It was said that the pastel was with a neighbour but the company never left a note to say who is that neighbour. So we couldn’t find the parcel at all. Now I was expecting an 8kg parcel from my brother , who paid extra so that it is signed when received. We have never said that we want it to be left with a neighbour or in a safe place. Now I am at work there is nobody home to receive the parcel however it has been said that the parcel is delivered and when I checked the signature, it was saying “can’t sign”. First of all why we have payed for an option which MyHermes will not respect. And second of all we are entitled to three attempts why when there is no one home you leave the parcel with someone unknown. I haven’t mentioned it to be left with a neighbour because I don’t know them. Thank you Hermes, now can you please tell me where is my parcel. But please this time use something more than just the silly signature which can be from anybody(including the driver) and something else than the location. Disaster.

I ordered an expensive item from Qvc, I believe it was dropped over my garden gate, the item worked the 1st time I used it, 2nd wouldn’t work ! So arranged for her me to pick it up from my daughter ms work place, was told sigh in 5 days! Never turned up! So my daughter had the bulky item in her car all week ! She wasn’t happy to say the least !! Then arranged for DPD to pick it up the following Monday they failed ! So was finally picked up next day!! So reordered my item, but made the mistake of allowing Hermmes to deliver to my home again in fear of a repeat performance!! I spent most of my morning, at work !! Trying to call Hermmes Enfield to tell them NOT to throw or drop my item again !! It’s an absolute nightmare trying to contact Hermmes!! Keeps saying email or live chat talk !! That doesn’t exist !! Wanted to warn them not to throw or drop my item again!! Now it’s been delivered! If this happens again that my item stops working again I will flip!!! I’ve lost all faith in Hermmes and electrical items if not home !! And never turning up to collect the item they dropped in the 1st place!!

I ordered a parcel on next day delivery and paid extra for that. As expected I received updates telling me my item was with a courier and a time slot. The time slot changed 3 times but my parcel wasn’t delivered. The following day I received the same info and several time slots but no delivery. They also had the wrong address on the parcel, this may not have been their fault but this is when you realise how impossible they are to contact if you have an issue. The app can only deal with safe place deliveries or rescheduling. Anything else can’t be dealt with. When you hunt down a phone number no one answers, just a message directing you back to the mobile site. The chat box is a robot and can’t deal with anything other than safe place delivery or leave with a neighbour, I was so frustrated!! My item arrived after 3 days and was delivered to the wrong house although I had asked the to divert to a neighbour ( my real address) I would recommend DPD anytime avoid Hermes like the plague.
