I’ve bought many dvds, cds and blue rays off music magpie. 9 times out of ten the condition of the item is great or like new. The 1 times it’s damaged and I’ve bought box sets with a disc missing twice, including dvds that won’t play. But I’ve called up and explained and they have sorted it out with no hassle. I’ve never sold to them as it’s just pennies for stuff, but the cheap prices of boxsets ect I can’t resist. I do recommend there buying from service.

Review written before receiving any response on items sent. Barcode scanner is variable. Have to enter quite a few items manually. Scanner sometimes gives a different barcode number to that appearing on the cd resulting in the wrong item being listed. Major problem is inability to remove an item once scanned in. A lot of items receive offers of a penny or a few pennies each, which I was not prepared to accept. I rang company and queried this and said I would not be sending all the items. I enclosed a copy of list marking those not sent and amending totals for number of items and amount to be paid. I cannot see this as an oversight by the company and wonder why as it is of no benefit to customers.

I’m emigrating so need to declutter. I thought MM would be an easy way to get rid of books, cds and DVDs. How wrong can a person be! The app kept crashing so I had to keep saving items. After scanning in nearly 200 items I ended up with numerous saved orders. As some were under £5 I couldn’t complete them and, despite previous complaints spanning over 18 months from reading reviews, there is still no facility to either combine orders or add smaller ones once an order for over £5 has been completed. Seriously developers, the prices are rubbish but I’ll take that but sort out the app. Listen to what your ‘valued’ customers are saying. The app is a complete joke and an utter waste of time.

First time i have used this company to sell and will be the last. Was quoted £45 for around 230 cds and a handful of PS3 games. I received a payment of £26 back and after days of waiting for a reply by email, I was told the some of the items they were unable to be accepted due to damaged album covers and so on. Firstly the total of items they would not take did not total to the the missing £19 ( more like £6). Then I was told that they would not send the “declined items” back . Basically they will get new covers and maybe clean some of the discs and no doubt, be on their website for sale and you don’t even get the pittance of 1p to 20p per disc back In a nutshell, whatever price you are quoted by them...... half it!!!!!!

The app is really simple to use, especially with barcode scanning. The selling price is pennies but if you have lots of DVDs, games, CDs etc it all adds up and is a really good way to donate charity or make a bit of cash if you’re having a clear out. The courier service is great too. you can have them picked up at work/home/any location without having to worry about being in and waiting for them.
