Dairy Drop

Been meaning to sign up to dairy deliveries for ages so we didn’t have the ‘oh we’ve run out of milk’ dash with our toddler; current situation provided a good prompt! While understandably there was a delay in confirming the initial registration and order, we now get twice weekly deliveries of milk, OJ and eggs from (what I assume is a ‘local’ dairy), there when we wake up in the morning. A great way to connect people with dairy services; pricing is similar to supermarkets, but a little more if you go for glass bottles. Loses a star simply because the app itself isn’t very intuitive or particularly user friendly - message notifications pop up on screen but then when pressed are not viewed and disappear so you can’t read the full message (and there is no notification/message section in the app to find the history). When contacted they responded relatively quickly, if not with the most helpful answer - however I then contacted the dairy who were friendly and could tell me what I needed to know.

Been meaning to switch on to glass bottles instead if plastic and this has been a good find. After the initial hitch of one local dairy refusing my order, the delivery has been seamless and timely. The quality of milk I get is definitely better than the supermarket. The dairy which refused me had more options like fresh juice in a glass bottle. A reasoning would have been nice to get. I don’t find the app very user friendly, especially in terms of contacting customer service. But have to say they are awesome on email and very prompt.

Started off well and placed deliveries for a Monday, Wednesday and a Friday. The first delivery on the Friday was perfect, however nothing received on the Monday. It was a bank holiday so assumed that there wasn’t a delivery, however same thing happened the Monday after. I decided to make contact through the message centre with numerous messages going between me, dairy drop and the dairy with dairy drop telling the dairy the milk had been stolen. This was never the case and upon further investigation I found out the dairy don’t actually deliver on a Monday so was never going to have milk on a Monday. Twice a week wouldn’t be enough so I decided to cancel my ongoing orders. This then prompted an immediate call from dairy drop to apologise and to try and change my mind. I still decided to cancel my order and was promised a refund of the two Monday orders plus the two additional weeks I had paid in advance. Almost a month on and I still haven’t received a refund!!! I’ve chased but as yet haven’t received a response or the refund. A real shame as the concept is great, however the app is clunky at best and can see that the business will fold soon probably owing money to both customers and dairies. Although I’d rather support smaller independent dairies just use Milk and More. Easier and pain free.

Very disappointing service and customer experience. Have a very good concept and would have loved for this service to have worked out for me. I understand due to Covid-19 customer delivery is in high demand, but the diary and the company should not be accepting new customers and taking their money if they cannot provide services. The customer service is awful, takes them a long time to reply, not always 24hrs as stated on their app. One of their team members was rude and constantly talking over me, seemed to be making weak excuses for the poor service. Hope they resolve these issues in the future as this could be a very promising app/business, but for now would recommend avoiding this app!

Just downloaded it after seeing somebody recommend on a local Facebook group but had a look through reviews first, as I always do with a new app, and I am appalled at how rude the responses are to other reviews. For that reason I’ll be deleting this app immediately as customer service clearly isn’t all that. Before you respond saying I’m ‘harsh’ for leaving 1*, learn how to speak to your customers properly and it wouldn’t be so low :) Edit: It wasn’t recommended by a Facebook friend, that’s not what I said. Your responses to some of these reviews are rude and that is why I deleted it immediately, why would you want to deal with a company who thinks being rude to its customers is okay?
