I can’t complain too much because this service and bell came free with my home. It’s set to 5ft but goes off all day from trucks driving by which are more than 5 ft away. Since it goes off so much when it’s not needed it’s like the boy who cried wolf and you don’t really pay attention to when it’s a real person /should be alerted. When you open the app the image is not in real time until you click it, which no matter how I play with the settings, doesn’t change. You cannot scroll back to watch video unless there was a trigger of movement. So if someone sneaks up to your home and is outside of the zone, there’s no recording of it. Or if for some reason the sensor didn’t notice, or cut out too soon, there’s not recording to go back to. It’s helpful for knowing when I have deliveries and I do like the feature that it calls me when the bell rings , but to answer the call you have to usually go back into the app and it’s annoying. For free it’s great but if I were actually purchasing it I would go with a different service.

Put some Clare video cameras outside my home. Was super excited to log in from afar and pan the camera around. In general, the camera feeds work fine. But in the age of Ring, the software seems super outdated. You can only use on your phone or iPad to look at little pics and videos. There’s a goofy way to load an old version of Firefox on a Mac to get a computer feed but it seems they don’t want to spend any resources bringing the whole shebang up to 2019 standards. I’ll feel remorseful whenever Ring comes out with better outdoor video cam services.

If i didn’t have Akerman Security I would have never known what a Claire doorbell was. This doorbell impedes on the reputation of Akerman. If you get this doorbell know that you are putting your safety at risk. This is the second doorbell that I have replaced by Claire. Constantly getting messages that it is “offline”. I can confidently say that I will never use another Claire product. The application has updated only to continue to have glitches. This doorbell is malfunctioning more than it’s working save yourself the time and headache and no matter what Akerman says go with a Ring or anything but this. There is a reason we have never heard of them. Praying they drift back into oblivion and continue to be the useless product that they are. Happy Sunday!

I don’t understand how an app can’t keep you logged in, not let you see recorded videos and can not even be used as a video doorbell. Yet, it’s considered a security device. If it wasn’t given to me free because of my security system I would have returned it. It’s not just me, my girlfriend has the exact same problem. So, if I get an alert and then I have to log back in and can’t view my recorded clips, I better hope I can do that quick enough to see the live view and figure out if it’s a false alarm or not. Oh, and hopefully no one ever calls me on it because I can’t hear them and they can’t hear me. I really can’t believe how worthless it is.

I use this app daily to view the video from my Clare camera system and doorbell. Overall the app works well. There are a few minor glitches, but all apps have them. I called the support team and they stated that there will be a brand new app version in a few weeks. I am looking forward to it!
