Just had the new system fitted with cameras added. All working fine till after engineer left and two cameras failed and my app stopped working as well ‘connection issues’ on my iPhone 8. So far less than impressed. Connected to iPhone 10 and still says connection issues. AND the only phone it was stable on was my old iPhone 6 and been great till a short time ago ( on an old operating system so thought would be stable ) and ‘ connection issue ‘. So at the moment I can’t log in remotely which was the main element of upgrading to the system Update 27th November:- Had the amazing engineer back a few days ago. And we tweaked camera locations ( trick not to put two close together )and moved a sensor and fingers crossed all working ok. Also the app on the iPhone 10 you have to make sure the background app refresh is switched off within the app. And has not crashed yet ( fingers crossed )

Ongoing battle with ADT. They are asking us to pay the balance for the installation of an alarm system but it doesn’t work! They like to blame it on our netgear but how can it work one day and not the next! Everything else in the house works with no problem. Our alarm works on the panel but not on the app which was one of the reasons we went for them rather than any other system. Whilst having the ongoing battle we checked the app again 2 days ago and it’s miraculously working. Just checked again to view cctv activity and surprise surprise the app says box not connected! We are well within our consumer rights not to pay the balance until we have what we paid for!

I love this app/system! I bought the security system to give my wife reassurance for when I work away from home - and it has done exactly that. No more sleepless nights for either of us! I love the little touches - being able to fully customise the background picture on the app/the name of the system/the sensor names - giving a totally bespoke experience. The ease at which I can remotely set/per set the system is superb, I have set my phone up to give an audio countdown to let me know when the alarm is set - so I know it’s armed when I am away from home. I get push notifications when the alarm is set/unset and if it goes off. I have even set up a scenario to email me whenever the front door is opened! I love the geeky quirks of this setup, but most of all I love that my family fee safe when I am away with work.

Given the premium price ADT charge for the alarm system this app supports I’d expect regular updates. Lack of updates reeks of poor customer service and, as such, if ADT asked me if I’d recommend them to family and friends, I’d tell them no. The app works so there’s that. You can change a few settings plus arm and disarm your system. However, as countless others have mentioned, it’s not been updated to support the new phone screen sizes, something which is inexcusable. Also, although it supports Touch/Face ID, you still have to click the logon button. We live in a world now where smart phone apps are constantly evolving. If ADT consider themselves market leaders then it’s high time they caught up. I’m downgrading my review to 1 star following me writing a review on Trust Pilot and ADT not liking the review and trying to have it pulled! Shameful company that, once my contract is up, will never get my business again. I truly hope people read these reviews before signing up to anything.

I only just had my system installed and the morning after I was on the way to work and checked the app. According to the app my house had been broken into all sensors triggered and the alarm sounded. I panicked because I had not received a call from ADT as a key holder to inform me of this. I had to ask my dad to get out of bed and check the house at 6am. To my surprise he told me the house was fine. I can only assume now that this false alarm is a problem with the new app update as my husband did not have his alarm pop up on his older version. The alarm still shows on my app and I can't get rid of it..not a good first impression ADT.
