Young's - On Tap

I've downloaded this app twice because of youngs free drinks offers and each time I delete the app afterwards because it's just such a low quality app for the iOS platform. Items on the tab bar are modal, things that look tappable on the front screen aren't (pina collada weekend!) and don't have any instruction, you can't swipe from the left to go back, theres no map to search for pubs in an area you're not in (you have to open each one individually and you're zoomed out to view your current location) and the full screen no Internet error is extremely frustrating. There's a load of UX issues like having to search for a pub in every section and having to wait to save on every profile screen even though I didn't change anything. Other features that are clunky, but obviously out of your control like split the bill not at all pubs and the ghastly looking book a table Web view. I'll update this the next time you have a drinks offer and I download the app again!

I have tried the app 3 times now and it had a few hiccups to begin with but is hugely better now. Its a brilliant idea and so useful when out with friends. I loved the fact that you could individually select what you ate or drink and pay your share without quibble any you could even treat someone if you wanted. I also liked the fact you could set up a tab and pay on the app and receive an acknowledgement and invoice immediately after. I also like the special offers. There is room for improvement, but that’s lthe case in any new development. Youngs app people were brilliant at responding to any queries and sorting out any issues, staff in the pubs were also very excited and positive about use of the app and very helpful so I think they deserve a 5 star review.

Really love this app from its simplicity to use to its secret DJ, easy to set up and pay with, the best thing is if you forget to pay after one to many G and T’s it can been done automatically. All the treats are a huge bonus free birthday drinks and in January there is loads more love love love.

I visit the pub often with my friends and the bar tab feature is great! I am able to split the bill with my friends really easily and saves a lot of time deciding who needs to pay the bill.

Love using this app, they have treats which is basically free drinks now and again and they have a pub quiz which is really fun. Also good to see what’s going on in all the pubs, you get to control the music too!
