U: TV Player Stream on Demand

I downloaded this app with reasonably low expectations, as it is a free service. I’m please, however, to inform that the app has performed wonderfully and I’ve been able to watch my favourite shows with no struggle whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to be able to watch their TV shows on the go.

Update; Adverts frequently lasting 250 seconds.? They're getting longer!... APP DELETED ! The Heck with it... And I'll conspicuously avoid the companies that advertised! Well done to the devs (daves, hur hur) if annoying users was the intention! 👍 Previous review; dont hate a few adverts as such, its just the adverts are too long, too frequent, too irrelevant, too repetitive, too intrusive. Varies from seconds to several minutes. Bit arbitrary. Unable to be skipped. New update to click (sorry, tap) on advert opens up an uncloseable window, which makes me feel a right div, dave? Then app needs force close. Ok but then its Back to square one for advert time allocation, get to the back of the queue, mate! The disappointment of seeing a program no longer available for views, further disappointment that when roaming abroad on a mobile data at home plan or local wifi, it doesnt work at all!? I dont have a telly anymore but was it this bad? My rosy spex say no..or maybe I naively expected progress if todays so called interactive, tag happy, data collecting advertising technology is supposedly more advanced than the cathode days of yore when one had to grim/n bear it. So much for that..(actually, some older adverts on the telly were more entertaining, i even hunt them out on YT, but i digress..

As far as on demand apps go this is a very poor one, I have not known an app to make you go to your history just to see what episodes of a series you’ve watched, where the sign up process turns it into a black screen after multiple tries, the app doesn’t orientate when you flip your phone over (yes I have got the lock off) I think the functionality needs to be addressed and the app also looks more like a webpage in an app rather than a quality made app. I won’t review the app on the content, because I obviously like the content.

Fine for playback but I wish you could download programmes instead of just streaming. Useless for travelling! It’s also very frustrating when, if you resume a programme, it plays several ads before you can actually get back to your place. Also - for some daft reason the app screen doesn’t rotate with the phone like most apps do. No idea why but I’ve tried several times and it just doesn’t want to work! It’s annoying if you have your phone plugged in from the left as you’ve got flip it to watch the ‘right’ way up. Just bizarre.

Why did you get rid of really on this app????? I had a few episodes of ghost adventures waiting to be watched on the app and now they are gone!!!!! I use both this app and the sky go app as my mum watches sky tv in the living room and can’t afford multi room so now if I wanna watch really I have to wait till my mum isn’t watching sky!!!!! I’m autistic so these apps are basically my go to to watch my fave shows!!!!! Please bring back really to the UKTV play app!!!!!
