Dr. Martin ...a series that has with its drama, suspense, humour and frustrations ...kept its audience always wanting more in its presentation of two leading characters, one yes her frustrations of being a wife to the most arrogant and thoughtless husband, a doctor I guess most wouldn’t want to be their GP....yet his persistence, his need to out spoken to all just grabs the viewers in hoping, wanting the change he occasionally reviles, his only enemy is blood...and we all hope for a better doctor, or do we...yes he with his wife and the supporting cast make this one of the best simple dramas on tv, clean of all innuendos, smut and allows the natural setting and acting to complete a great series...with the hope after the last in this series which has left everyone sitting on the edge of their seats wanting, yes wanting and waiting for the next storyline...yes another series is in demand for us all to share this unique ..Doc Martin and Louisa’s story with now her being pregnant and A doctor with now greater problems ...a doctor...is he ...will he be that ...we wait in anticipation for that ever wanting story to continue...

Works well for what’s there, always manage to watch my shows. What could be improved: - you have to connect to the Internet to start up the app. I paid for the subscription in order to download shows to watch offline when I don’t have any Internet connection, so this feature is pretty restrictive and defeats the point for me! - would be good to see some +/-15 second buttons to easily scroll back and rewatch something you miss. Trying to drag a slider to go back a few seconds is no easy task - when you download a show but then hit play on it, the default behaviour is for it to stream rather than play the downloaded version. It’s cumbersome to go to your downloads before you hit play, it would be great if the app applied some logic to play from downloads where possible.

I would much, much prefer to record a programme than watch it on the app - the free version at least. The app regularly freezes at the boundaries where adverts are inserted, usually at the end of the adverts before the programme restarts. It usually takes a restart to get the app working again. After navigating back to the programme, it is touch and go whether it takes you back to the place where it dropped out. If it does, you have to watch adverts again. If it doesn’t, you still have to watch adverts before you can start to search the programme for the place where you were before. If you cross an advert boundary, you have to watch more adverts before you can find whether you are at the right place. If you are not then more boundary crossing and advert watching are required before you get back to the right point. Having restarted watching, if you have not lost the will to live, it might freeze again at the next advert boundary. The whole merry-go-round can start again. I think this has been the situation for some time . Goodness knows how the app attracts a rating of 4.6 out 5.

I would like to see the next episode pop up sooner, and a better mix of adverts rather than have the same couple showing. Also, when using the follow on episode, you are instantly hit with another advert, plus, I find that if it looks like I still have a little of one episode left to watch and try to ‘resume’ it goes back to the start of that episode instead. This could be due to the auto-logging out of the app when my device is locked, or after a length of time, but it would be good to open the app to where you left off. I can’t always watch one thing in one go, so would find it easier to carry on as mentioned. Alternatively, perhaps a pop up suggesting the program and place you last viewed would be a tap away from resuming that viewing. Overall I like using the itv app, adverts apart.

The ITV hub has to be the worst ever! All the other hubs are far superior and don’t give half the issues of this...you need to sort it out ITV! This is just one example of a terrible service.....tried to watch the first episode of the new Vera and got 16 minutes in when the hub decided to stop streaming, I then spent another 45 minutes trying to get it to work, but it seemed to be stuck on the adverts! I’ve seen every bl**dy advert they make on ITV and I think I can tell you each one, word for word. To say this has frustrated me is an understatement. Oh yes, I get it! looks like ITV want everyone to pay for advert free to be able to watch programs on catch up! What a joke, if the service doesn’t run properly for free, then how can they expect people to pay for a service which also may not run properly!! ITV you need to smarten up your act! I’m now off to delete programs off my freesat box so I can record Vera as I don’t trust ITV to provide a decent service!
