Sainsbury's Chop Chop

I had to call customer services the second time I needed to use the app as it was freezing but some how it was fine and I didn’t lose my basket. The first order was all good - I got a call from the charming lady who was doing my shopping to discuss a couple of substitutes - she was really helpful and clearly wanted to get things right - used her initiative then called to confirm that was ok for me. This is a great service and it is more plausible than splashing out on Deliveroo and trying to find a shop without prices going through the roof. It’s good for me as I am far from a decent shop and it’s heavy to walk with bags. I really rate it and like the 60 min slot! One thing would be good to get points on my nectar card now that I finally have one I am not going to lose!! Is this possible? Thanks if so. It’s chucking down with rain and I am using this wonderful app for the 5th time and the service is impeccable- I cannot reccomend it enough. Even the delivery team are impressed to be delivering a concierge type of shopping experience. 🤗

I ordered some groceries from the chop chop app for the first time today as I haven’t been able to get a delivery slot from Sainsbury’s. Despite putting my order at 8.20am for a 1-2pm delivery I still haven’t received it. I called my shopper who said it would be half an hour. But still haven’t heard anything. I then called customer service who can’t get in touch with the store so there’s nothing they can do. They couldn’t even cancel the order or refund the money. They told me to phone back which involves another long wait. So it seems pretty pointless in even phoning them. Looks like I’ll have to ask my card provider to stop the transaction for goods not received a hassle I could do without. I’ve used the Waitrose rapid delivery service before and its much better than this the service is better and as it allows you to properly track the delivery to your door. I have never had any problems with my usual Sainsbury’s grocery delivery but I’d give this a miss - I’ll be deleting the app.

I’ve used the app four times now. Twice it worked just about as it should, but with a high number of items unavailable. The third time I had a message saying my ordered had been delivered when it hadn’t. After much chasing it eventually arrived late. The final straw has been my most recent order. They only started processing the order an hour and a half after it was submitted, so not a chance of being on time. I have given up with calling support as it takes then a long time and they can do very little other than call the local store. The big problem is distribution - if something is going wrong in the local Sainsbury’s the support team can do nothing about it. All in all, not worth the hassle if you want things quick - I will just plan a little ahead and use another service from now.

Had my order delivered today from the Salford Store, brilliant communication as a couple of items had to be substituted for other items and even though the items were more expensive I’d only be charged the price of the items I originally picked👍🏻 Also I was told that the date on the bakery rolls had today’s date on (they were made today) but the baker had assured the picker that they will still be fresh for 3 days👍🏻 Keep up the good work guys you’re doing a fantastic service at these hard times👍🏻

It was my first shop on this app and tried ordering but received a call followed by several others telling me they couldn’t find my address and so would cancel my order, same thing happened the day before despite it working just fine that same day for someone else I live with who ordered with them, and had no problem with the postcode. Not only that, most of the items they ordered and received went out of date on that same day they'd ordered them. Have deleted the app as it’s basically useless to me if they can’t even deliver to me and I don’t particularly want to buy food that’s going to expire the same day I buy it.
