I don’t recommend GCI we closed about a month ago because we were moving out of the state we were in, they cleared my phone and my parents paid of the rest of the phone with the at the store, but they will still charging after that because I was using data but that wasn’t possible because we ended our contract with GCI and I use my own internet so how could it be. We had to pay what they wanted $150 extra dollars after closing with them because I was using quote on quote “data” but we closed the contract, will never use gci again. I will recommend to my family and friends if there joining GCI not to because they messed us over by making us pay double, Im here to recommend to you don’t either.

I give up. Can’t check data usage, even on the website. The change in ownership has not been beneficial. Deleted app. No other choice for internet & cable at my location. Sigh. ***** February 2019 The app has improved in the last two months, but in trying to launch the channel lineups on my iPhone 7 in iOS 12.1.4, it's a complete fail. Tech support told me it works, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app as recommended, but after clicking the Channel Lineups button I waited 5 long minute and nothing launched to show the channel lineup. If it takes longer than a minute for an app to respond it's pretty much a fail. At least I can view usage and pay the bill, but that's about it.

The new app is a joke, nothing ever works properly. It takes 20 mins to log you in after telling you your page has expired EVERY TIME. And the usage data board isn’t useful at all. Bring back the old stuff, you guys always ruin it when you have it good. GCI GETS A BIG THUMBS DOWN FROM ME. Your usage doesn’t even give you a total update like your last app did. That was very helpful, now it’s just... nothing. Like the internet company themselves. Terrible. Seriously. Why “upgrade” (when in reality you’re downgrading) when you had a good system before ?? What a shame.

Update: talked to a GCI Rep and he was able to disable my data cap which was supposed to be disabled in the first place while the transition was being made. Im just trying to buy a data bucket, website sends me to update my app, app loads, opens an “app” of just a internet browser with the gci page as the homepage... 15 minuted later still trying to buy a data bucket so i can get a consistent stream with my family on skype

The latest version of the app basically got rid of the original app and replaced it with the main GCI website embedded in a web browser inside the app! Then they updated the app screenshots with their silly next-next-next intro to the app wizard thing which is really just an intro to their website. Apparently that’s all that’s left of the app’s “app-ness”, because that’s all the screenshots show. And when you get past that, it takes a full 15 seconds for the website (I mean app home screen?) to load, even over a fast GCI network connection.
