MAPCO Rewards

So this company just built a brand new very nice store close to my home. Every time I go into the store the clerk ask if I have a “MAPCO” card, to which I say no. Finally, I decide, “What the heck, maybe it will be a good spend of my time...” Wrong!! Horrible app!, just finally deleted the app and will not shop at this chain again. Why so cranky? When I went to register the card it obviously excepted the info I put in but not the card itself. Why is this a big deal? Because every time I get sent a discount and I want to use it at the pumps I have to put my number in instead of simply swiping the card. Plus, when I go to try and register the card it just says error which means I can’t use the cards points I’m supposedly building up. So I kinda have a rewards program (on fuel only) but then I don’t. PILOT IS NEXT DOOR, and their app works amazing so take care “CRAPCO”! 🤢

Before this latest update the MAPCO app was a good app, however, the update of May 2018 changed the really good features. For example, the old app allowed for pay at the pump without the use of the Rewards card. This was convenient if you wanted to pay for gas for a friend or family while you were sitting at home watching the game or whatever. Another thing, use of the MAPCO Rewards card was optional. Your cell phone was all you needed to make purchases and receive rewards and points. Lastly, the new app update eliminated the additional savings of 2 cents per gallon when using PayPal as a payment option. The old app allowed pre-set amounts or no limit for gas purchases, something I’m not sure the new app could do. Hope MAPCO changes everything back like it was. They use to have the most advanced app of any gas station I knew about.

New app is terrible. Whatever marketing and promotional team came up with this should be fired immediately! I liked the old app just fine. Now half of my rewards don’t show up on my account. I used the pay by app feature all the time and it’s been nice that mapco honored that 2 cent discount till the end of June but then what? I can’t even get my purchase rewards or cents off per gallon to show up half of the time. My prior gas/store purchases no longer show up with points earned each visit. The clerks almost never offer a receipt so it was a good way to track your points. Also the points required to get extra cents off your gas purchases have gone way up too. Customer service is useless. Bad move Mapco....

Well it's a nice app when it works. Half the time the mobile pay just won't work, will error out saying something went wrong. Update: 2018 Honestly I think the developer does not care about this app any more... that includes Mapco as well. Lots of little things reported but no updates to the app for over a year to fix any of them. But on that note still same issues cant do mobile payments half the time, app just crashes over and over and over, this all stared when iOS 11 came out. Uninstalled the app to try and fix these issues but now I can not login to my rewards account, even though it works fine on the web site.

I used to love this app. Don't know what they did to it, but it's horrible now! Wouldn't let me sign in - said information I was entering was incorrect so I ended up going to their website (as instructed) to reset my PIN (even though I hadn't changed it). After doing that, it still said my info was incorrect! I tried logging in using my phone number, my email, and my Mapco rewards card number and the new PIN that I had just changed. All were rejected! Totally lame! What good is collecting rewards if you aren't able to access them?! Fix this, Please!!
