A few days ago, I got the notification that the previous Remote/Enform app was being sunsetted and to update to this one. So I have... and I have no idea why. While the UI/UX is much cleaner and has a more ‘stable’ feel to it, there is virtually zero functionality. I have a map of the last place I parked, and a panel for scheduling service. That’s it, for a 2015 RCF. What was the point of this? Ever since I moved back to the US with this car, which was a US registered vehicle for manufacture in the first place, bought from a US subsidiary overseas, none of the Enform features seem to work properly, at least initially. It’s always a months long fight to get these things fixed. I’ve successfully used the Remote app after much headache for the entirety of last year, but now (even though it shows my subscription being active) I cannot do so through this app. No health check, no fuel indication, no markers, not start/stop/lock/unlock, etc.. I am not sure what Lexus is thinking, but they are progressively generating worse and worse apps as time goes on it seems. For the amount of $ I paid for those flagship coupe, you’d figure I would get basic functionality of lesser tier brands, let alone even less expensive models from Lexus themselves. As the title says, I am truly baffled.

I bought a 2019 L-Certified car at a Lexus dealership. Lexus (Enform services) sent me an email with a non-functioning link, so I called the dealer and they told me to just download this app. I did and I still haven’t figured out what the big deal is. Instead of showing you up front some info you might want about the car status or letting you remotely interact with the car (you pay extra for actual interaction) the first thing it shows you every time you open the app is what you DON’T have and need to pay additional money for. So, if you wander around in the app until you find vehicle status and can see your car is unlocked, there’s nothing you can do about it until you pay for Remote Services. The app has no functional menu or dashboard. Good thing at least the app is free, because it is without any practical use or value. It might be if you pay $80 plus per service per year to get the full “suite” and all the accoutrements, but you shouldn’t have to. This app is little more than an advertisement for more services.

Traded in my 2015 Lexus which had safety connect, remote and destination assist for an RX. Paid for remote with safety connect for my RX. After calling the 1-800 number many times, I was either on hold with music and no one picked up. On the 7th call later the same week I spoke to 2 reps who had to escalate the request to technical support. I was assured it would be fixed and would receive a call back in 1 hour. Instead I received 2 emails with set up instructions that didn’t solve the problem. The rep called me 2 hours later stating it has been pushed through. The app still does not work and it just sits in refresh mode which never refreshes the app or connect to my RX. I’ve sent emails, texted my sales person, and the issue has not been resolved. I’m very frustrated that Lexus is unable to remedy the issue. After more calls to the 1-800 number, they finally fixed the app on my phone, however, I can not lock/unlock the doors with the application and the app does not alert me when doors are unlocked, etc. Back and forth on the phone numerous times, they finally told me that I need to go back to the dealer to have it checked. This is unacceptable having paid for an application that doesn’t really work and no one at Lexus Technical Support or the dealership knows how to remedy this! I

I totally agree with the previous reviewer: vehicle status and notifications are gone for good. Yes, you can still start your car or lock/unlock the doors, however, you are not being warned if you forgot to lock your car. The old app was very simple but extremely useful and functional. This new one is all about scheduling maintenance which I couldn’t care less about. I can always pick up the phone and call my dealership for that, whereas, unlocked doors may result in vandalism or theft. Also, I disagree that it has a clean look; it’s busy with all kind of useless info and looks like a web page rather than a modern looking. A lot of scrolling for nothing. I think the purpose of this app is to warn you about regular maintenance which I do anyway. At least bring back the vehicle status and notifications and create separate tabs for other junk that you want to sell us. I may not continue my subscription next year if this is what I get for 80 bucks. I’m a graphic designer by the way, and, by no means I think this app meets today’s standards of clean looking, minimalistic design, let alone functionality and usefulness.

This new app is completely useless and deserves 0 stars. The most important functionality - vehicle alerts - is now missing. Whoever decided to remove this key feature is a short sighted imbecile. UI looks like a website designed by amateurs and the crippled, bland home screen displays no useful information. I am in disbelief that this garbage got approved and that Lexus moved from a multi-featured, modern looking application to this useless pile of ****. Absolutely shocking. What exactly am I paying for now? Ability to turn on my car for 10 minutes (worst remote start capabilities in the car industry), maintenance reminders and a way to schedule appointments with my dealer? Wow, how wonderful for an $85K car. Instead of trying to bring more business to your dealers, BRING BACK VEHICLE ALERTS. The most important feature of the old app was being notified in case windows/doors were left open or the car was left unlocked. What is the point of it now? Your developers should consider moving to fast food industry where they would shine flipping burgers. Shame on Lexus for releasing this embarrassing abomination.
