So camera works great the app on the other hand needs improvement. After some playing around like others it would go into a connection loop and never allow you to see videos on your phone. Well turns out if you do not let it have access to cellular data you can access the videos. I am on a iPhone XS Max. You can’t download them or anything that you might want to do but at least you can see them. This app should be taken down rebuilt and put back up.

Wow, just wow. Kenwood/JVC hit the mark on this one. For the price this thing is packed with features. Easy set up, live view etc etc. I worked hard on installing this so no wires could be seen and looks as if it was made when the car was built. The clarity and everything about it for this price point is phenomenal. I have actually talked 11 other people into buying one and I installed it for them and they simply love it. I paid $100 bucks for mine because it was an open box item. However the price point as of right now I believe is $120 bucks. Great purchase to help teens safe that are driving, hell really any age group. It also can be a great teaching tool for teens that are starting to drive. Try it, I am pretty sure you will not return it. Good job Kenwood!!!

It works , BUT, you have to turn off your cellular data,to get the app to work. The problem I’m having is you can’t see a live view when you walk away , so I tested it out I turned everything on what I’m finding out when I started to walk away with the app on as I was watching myself walk away about 30 feet it shuts down so what I’m thinking I’m no computer or electric wizard , I think the camera link only goes so far. Because when I get in my vehicle when you hit connect it connects so I’m thinking camera links got a range of how far it reaches in my opinion.

It would be nice if KENWOOD would reply to any of these reviews.. maybe show they care about customers and want to make improvements to this app. The camera seems great... I installed it yesterday and might get the hardwire kit so I can use the park mode, if I don’t return it for this crap app. This review is for the app, not the camera... I got it to work yesterday for a few minutes, but since then it just takes me to the access screen on my iPhone every time I connect, very frustrating.. i plan on going back to the store where I bought it to see what they say... the app was a big selling feature for me so I might return it.

I love this dash cam the image quality is really good at first I had a lot problems tying to connect it to my phone and I couldn’t and I see a lot of people have the same problem to but I figure it out I have an iPhone XR all I did was turn off the cellular data when it asks u for access and it works nice now. Hope that helps.
