FedLoan Student Loans

It’s not as easy to find, but it is under pay>make payment>payment options. I was also pretty upset that I couldn’t find it at first, but as long as it’s there, I’m happy. I do wish it were easier to access, but overall, I’m grateful for the redesign. I feel like it came very quickly after we were sent a survey and it felt like we were heard. Thank you for fixing the log in issue!

My last name has an apostrophe in it and every time I attempt to create an account with the apostrophe, I get an error message. The error message says, “Last Name can only contain letters, apostrophes” ... you see my issue? If I don’t do the apostrophe and instead do a space or no special formatting at all and then I receive another error message about my personal information not matching their records 😑. Because, ya know, mine has an apostrophe in it. I have screenshots of what’s happening and I was going to email Fedloan however, going through the “contact us” page, I can’t receive their email unless I set up an account.. which is all I wanted to do in the first place. 🙄😑

Love the new updated look of the app! It’s great to have the total loan balance on the “home page”. As a previous reviewer said, finding the specific loan payout is not super intuitive, but I was able to find it easily from that reviewer’s directions. Paying of loans is a necessary evil, but this new update makes the process much more enjoyable!

1. Tiny thing but I HATE when computer programs put "hello, name!" It's so bad! 2. They're trying to make it harder for you to pay more on your loans. Never forget they WANT you to take longer and pay more interest. That is their GOAL. I've always payed an extra $400 a month on the highest interest rate loan. They gray it out so it looks like you can't target it (since nothing is owed "right now" on it). Don't let it fool you, you can still put money in there. 3. I've been saving money for an emergency fund but I'm seriously considering scrapping that entire idea, just to pay off the student loans and never have to deal with this app again.

So far, using this is app is much better than using the website. Few things i would recommend. 1: allow fingerprint id to be used even after session timeout or log out. Currently i have to to shut down the app to get it back. And 2: allow the user to see how payments are dispersed once they are scheduled. Other than that i have no complaints.
