Do I Snore or Grind

This app does really detect sound of teeth grinding well. But it also records several samples of the heater sound when it is on. Wish there was a way to calibrate so that the app would know it is just white noise. Another complaint I have is that I don’t quite understand the sleep cycles. For example, when the yellow line is all the way down, does that mean deep sleep or REM sleep? And when it is between the “Light sleep” and “deep sleep” marks, does that mean deep sleep or light sleep? There should be a page explaining what the graph means.

This app is great- when it works. It records all sounds so that you can know if you really do snore or not. It hears very well- so much that I can hear how often I roll over while sleeping. My friends who have the app and I have had many laughs sharing and comparing our bad snoring nights. It would be a great tool for someone who needs to know if they (or their sleeping partner) has sleep apnea. The only problem is that lately- like the last 9 times I’ve set it to record- it just turns itself off, so there's nothing in the morning when I want to listen. It had done that occasionally over the last six months, so I wondered if I bumped my phone during the night or something, but now it’s clear that it IS recording (I can SEE the red light/button at the top of the phone when it has started), and then after I go to sleep, it just stops, so there’s no recording at all. It’s very frustrating, because I want to know if the expensive air purifier I bought last month is helping me sleep better or not. Do I Snore has not recorded once since I got the purifier, so I have no idea. Since I now have a real reason (not just to laugh at myself!) to want to hear my snoring, I’m really disappointed that it’s not working. Therefore, I can only give it two stars.

There is no legitimate reason for these people to require your name, phone number, address, email address, and other personal information that can expose you to many problems from the very serious to the mundane. This app worked just fine for a long time before they started reaching more deeply for our personal information. It’s a real shame, because the app was useful, but I’m sure there are others offering apps without these privacy intrusions. With all the data breeches that happen all the time, they cannot make any credible promise your personal information will be safe, even if they had a legitimate reason to ask for it.

I’ve tried a lot of apps, and non of them offers the same functionality for free as this one. There is no annoying subscription proposals or adverts you have to deal with just before going to sleep, and this is exactly what I was looking for. Great stuff, thank you guys for it. It would be great to have Apple Watch app too, but not critical.

I had purchased all kinds of things to try and stop snoring. The app helped me to figure out what type of snorer I was. Then it gave me ideas for tools to help to stop my snoring. I needed a mouth guard. The mouth guard has stopped my snoring! It sure has made a difference in my marriage since we are not up all night with snoring. Thank you!
