Bond Home

It was very easy to set up my Bond Bridge and this is the product I was looking for but the app needs refinements regarding using buttons to control your fan and lights with dimmers. It’s not clear how to dim and turn two different lights on and off. It would also be helpful if I could label top light and bottom light, especially when I’m out of the home. It’s not clear if the lights are on or off just looking at the app

I setup timed routines to turn on/off ceiling fans and it worked great with the old app. I swapped over to the new app and none of the existing routines work anymore. Furthermore, I deleted an existing routine and tried to set up a new routine to replace the deleted one and the ceiling fans are not showing up in the “smart home” list in Alexa like it use to. Not sure what to do.

New app auto identifies my Minka Aire as having two lights and dimmer. It had no dimmer. It has only one light. But the other buttons work. It used to be you could accept this amd then edit/remove the buttons thag are not relevant. But now of you accept the identified remote this app will not let you do that. so i can accept the non working buttons for ed on me by this stupid app or record all 9 coomands manually. This is why i dropped it from 5 stars to 3

So apparently there’s a Bond app and Bond home. I was using the Bond app and I set up the account from there. Bonhomme is a little better and the fields are readable but now I can’t edit the account info so I can’t change my name from the password because I couldn’t tell what field I was typing in before. I will say that the device configuration process is very smooth compared to many apps but you still don’t get a perfect score

I know it is still in beta with the bond bridge but it is working great so far. Appears much more refined than the legacy app although the legacy app automatically found my ceiling fan remotes and with this new app I had to manually program the buttons. Again it’s beta so this wasn’t a surprise. Now we just need SmartThings integration! ;)
