Bellhop - Pros

As a mover for this company I have experienced very great communication from the company and met wonderful people. If you want to get your possessions moved with reliability and efficiency you have to check out bellhops! I should warn you though time and place as well as items are a big factor in the process for making a good move, if you hire employees without putting much thought into the whole process you are likely to get allot of confusion and a worse move than if you had planned better.

Do NOT use this company. Worst company ever! I had scheduled movers weeks in advance. One of the movers even called me 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time to tell me they are on their way. While one of the movers pulled up in front of my house, they stayed in their car for a few minutes then drove off. I receive a call at 14:03 (3 minutes after scheduled moving time) that the other mover isn’t able to make it and couldn’t send a replacement and the one mover that was in front of my house couldn’t come back because they had other “arrangements.” They said the next scheduled appointment would be the next day in the afternoon. I was on a tight schedule and was moving cross country. I wad screwed with no help. WORST COMPANY, DO NOT TRUST THEM TO BE THERE FOR YOUR MOVE. You could run the risk of being out of movers last minute. Im not the type of person to write reviews, but just wanted to let other people know so that they could avoid the catastrophe that happened to me.

I was moving to my new home and wanted to have everything done right... I had scheduled different technicians to work in my house after moving.... and finally, at the moving day, the driver showed up with a truck said “the team isn’t coming” I was “why?, no one has told me anything” I called Bellhops and they didn’t know... and I had to adjust to whatever time they had available. by the way, they had already charged my credit card... and yes, had to reschedule everything. Next day , they show up everything goes fine... till one of the mover can’t keep going, he said “i can’t do it anymore” while both mover have the washer machine in the middle of the stairs... I had to jump in and help the other mover to take it downstairs... by then, they had damaged the washer machine and the hardwood floor ... after almost 1 hour another guy shows up and finally they finished the work. I submitted my complain and ask them to fix the damage and I got a letter saying they’ll give me $100... and take or leave it. Overall, don’t use it, there is no accountability, doesn’t have a reaction plan and it looks they don’t filter pretty good the people working for them. I recommend using someone local... but not this company,.. good idea but terrible execution.

As a person who works for this company I say that this company is good for moving people in an instant. I would also say that the experience comes from where your mind is at and your journey is in life. One thing I can say about working for bellhops is that I can boldly speak to my team about Jesus and His love and continue to work with no problems. The word of God has a deep impact on many of us and it will find us in the strangest places. Let’s continue to love him and help our people move! Thanks for having me bellhops!

These are not professional movers so dont expect them to be. These are college students hired to do jobs and they are not necessarily trained to do. Bellhops does not give accurate descriptions of the work to be done thus leaving their workers out to dry. You can work very hard for a customer and the customer can give you a good or bad rating based on their moods not your work which will essentially hurt you for more jobs. $13 an hr is not enough for the labor especially if the customers dont tip. Hire at your own risk. Work at your own risk. No healthcare is provided.
