Of course I’d never use this to hail an NYC cab (just...don’t), so I use it to pay sometimes when I am inside a cab by CC. For some reason they don’t let use specify tips in a % that is not an increment of 5. Really stupid, unnecessary UI impediment. And you should be able to just assign an absolute $ value to your ongoing ride. Just generally a klutzy app.

Requested my first ride the other day. The driver proceeded to pick up another person at a completely different address (many blocks away such that it couldn’t have been mistake) and watched on the app as the driver drove that person to the airport (which was nowhere near the designation I input when requesting a pickup). I was charged for the ride, and Arro Support has been slow to respond and won’t tell me when I can expect a full refund. Very frustrating customer service experience - It should be obvious from the trip record the driver just picked someone else up and ignored my request, and it’s pretty absurd that the app somehow allows the fare to start running even though he never came near the actual pick up point.

App is majorly broken and unusable. I once signed up through Facebook. Now I can’t log in at all. The login through facebook button doesn’t work. Even though my Facebook email is the same email I use for everything, using forget password doesn’t work. I never receive the email. Signing up for a new account says my phone number is used already (obviously) and now I’m just forever locked out of this app. Even the make a new account via Facebook button doesn’t work anymore.

First time using it worked fine as planned. Then, the 2nd time using had a major issue. After the ride was done and I exited the taxi, the driver flagged me down that Arro only charged $6.19 instead of $35. No idea why. And I saw the charge go through to my credit card. So I had to run into the house and grab some cash to pay him since he can’t just reset the meter. Opposite of what’s supposed to happen.

None of the car service apps are great but this is by far the worst. Requested a ride, said it was less than a minute away, 20 min later and I’m still waiting. I called him thinking he was lost and he told me he didn’t have the arro app and didn’t use it. Canceled my ride and called an Uber, 2 minutes later he shows up YELLING at me to get in the car. I told him I cancelled and he proceeded to tell me the whole thing was my fault. Never using again.
