AppyParking Harrogate & Dundee

I ride a motorcycle as well, and I actually really like this app. Various boroughs have different rules, yes but AppyParking gives you enough information. If you plan to go somewhere you have not been before, do some research beforehand. Don’t solely rely on an app as rules may change, and they are probably doing their best. Admittedly I don’t write reviews this is my first ever on any site, as they are a waste of time and next to no one really reads them. I didn’t intend to read yours, yours was just before the compatibility page. I was making sure AppyParking would be compatible with the new os update, if it wasn’t I probably wouldn’t update my phone. As I have lost a few good apps due to updates, and this is a good app for motorcycle bays and parking. AppyParking team, I like your app. It has helped me find hidden motorcycle bays, which I would have never found without it. The idea for setting vehicle preference is a good idea, but you already have the option to turn on or off motorcycle bays, and that is all we bikers need really. Also you have the driver profile option, for electric vehicles charging bays I believe what is surprising. Also just want to say I love how you use red X face and the geen smiley face, it makes the interface feel friendly. It is a well thought out parking app with a slight touch into navigation. I doubt I’ll use the petrol station section though. Once again great app, keep up the good work 👍🏾. Ricardo C.

This is a great app. I work remotely and use it to find to the cheapest parking available. I love how you can search specific days and times as well as the feature to check cheap petrol prices. To make this app even better it would be great if you can add the resident parking zone information too (e.g Westminster Zone A1). I don’t know about other boroughs, but my borough has a terrible map of parking zones. So apart from my road and neighbouring roads, I am unsure where else I can park. AppyParking is so user friendly and this additional feature would make parking locally so much easier.

I ride a scooter in London and this app falls short for me and it should be easy to put right. In some boroughs in London motorcycle parking is allowed in pay and display and residents parking bays. This app does not reflect this information. The ideal way to fix this would be to be able to set your vehicle type. A second best option, which would be pretty easy would be just to show which borough a particular location is in (there are websites to tell you the rules if you know the borough.) Yes, it shows you dedicated bike bays. So what? I’ve been waiting for this for months, probably over a year. Was in touch with the developer, they said it was a good idea, but nothing. Nothing exists like this for bikes! I’d pay. In fact I’ll write it myself. In the meantime, 1 Star. Improve!

Used this the other day to figure out where I could drop off my zip car flex. Surprisingly zipcar’s app doesn’t show you the parking restrictions on their map, and therefore you have no idea where you can legally park a zipcar flex. This helped me find out where I could park without having to literally drive down every single street and check the road signs (which would’ve taken me way past my car hire window!) A game changing app! I love it!

Used this for the first time today in Harrogate and apart from having a small issue of being located by the road sensors it worked great. Nice to be charged for the time you are parked than the full rate, and nice that you’re told how much you have been charged. For future development would like to have it compatible with Apple Watch so that any notifications come through on that. However a great app.
