Based on your local currency and alert type, the app will automatically set high and low alerts above and below current value or price. When presented with a high or low XRP notification you have the ability to increase the limit without having to open the app. You wont be notified again until your next price/value update or if these new limits are hit. Notifications are triggerd using Apple's Background App Refresh. Background App Refresh allows XRP Alerts to run periodically in the background so that the price/value of XRP is up to date when you open the app as well as alerting you based on your preferences.
