This resource is extremely powerful. I would not be surprised if a revival occurred. I use this personally and find it convenient to learn breadth and depth in a timely manner. Though this product is extremely promising, I think more is needed to convert or bring back those who have left our faith. Namely, a scientific perspective may be needed. The most recent conversation I’ve had where faith barriers have been installed regarded the well accepted theory of evolution, which I can only refer to Francis Collins’ BioLogos theory as a counter-conversation, and this redirection is not inherently Catholic. WOF definitely sets the Word on fire, yet other areas of knowledge outside the church are needed within our faith ethos in order to abound. Just as Aristotelian thought was reconciled with Catholicism through Aquinas, another novel thinker is needed to reconcile accidental processes with order and intervention. Nevertheless, WOF works in the church domain.

What a treasure to feast at Bishop Barron’s Word on Fire “banquet” of deeply nourishing food for the soul during this pandemic & mandatory sheltering! From the daily masses, numerous podcasts to the expansive library of educational videos (Pivotal Players, The Mass, The Sacraments, Catholicism Series ...) — as the noise & busyness of the world have quieted & quelled Bishop Barron and the Word on Fire group, keenly aware of our concerns, our worries, and our hunger, have proffered wisdom, guidance, hope & assurance that “Our lives are not about us! They are about what God, through the Holy Spirit, wants to do in & through us.” Yes, even in this crisis, God has His Purpose & His Plan. Thank you, Bishop Barron & the entire Word on Fire team for your faithfulness to His mission to show & to share God’s Truth, Beauty & Goodness in order to convert hearts, transform lives & save souls!

Bishop Barron is analogous to my favorite teacher in college. Started with the series “The Mass” last year in a classroom setting at my church last year. I missed half the classes due to schedule conflicts but was so captivated by his talks that I ended up purchasing a one year all-access pass to all of his series. Best purchase I’ve ever made in my life! This latest one on The Sacraments lives up to the high Word of Fire standards. Listened to the first 4 episodes in the past two days and can’t wait until I listen to the next one (which I’ll start after writing this review. If you like to listen, think, reflect and learn; you’ll love his latest series on The Sacraments.

As a convert to Catholicism 5 years ago I have been disappointed in the lack of user friendly new media tools to help convey the beauty of the Catholic faith with all types of people; especially fallen away Catholics. Having the incredibly well done videos from the Word on Fire team all at the touch of a finger is something for which I truly give thanks to God. Now with the Word on Fire institute, I am just overwhelmed with joy as I finally get to witness and be a part of a wave of change in the Church that will help to lay the foundation for real spiritual growth and, God willing, sainthood throughout our generation.
