Word Crack Mix 2

Word Crack is enjoyable and addictive, especially if you're inherently competitive. I find it challenging trying to find the lengthier words hidden away within the puzzle. My only qualm is the PowerUps feature of the game. I've noticed that some people use them during gameplay and others don't. While I believe they add an interesting element to the game, it would be fantastic for players to choose before starting each game whether they would like to play a PowerUp-boosted game against an opponent who also uses PowerUps, or be more purist and go the non-PowerUp route. I choose not to use PowerUps, and I've often had to resign games after one or two rounds after I've noticed that the points discrepancy is indicative of the other player using PowerUps. That's my only suggestion to make the game more satisfying. Other than that, this game is definitely worth downloading. Great to play for passing time.

If Etermax were smart, they would restore the original app and release this "update" as the completely different game that it is. The people who like the old Word Crack are an entirely different demographic from the people who might like the new one. Why choose to lose half (or more) of your existing players instead of keeping all of them and also gaining downloads of a separate new app? The March 1, 2020 update completely bricked the app. I get the opening "etermax" screen and then the whole thing abruptly crashes and closes. I'm far from the only unhappy player. Before the update Word Crack had 1,620 reviews and nearly a 5 star average. As of 3/7, there have been 250 new reviews since the update and they're all extremely negative. Some can't open the app at all, but most can, and they all hate it. My husband and I had enjoyed challenging each other in head-to-head rounds for years. Word Crack was one of our go-tos for quality time. The game was straightforward, challenging and lots of fun. From the app's own description of the update and the new screenshots, plus the post-update reviews, the replacement game (I wouldn't call such extensive changes an update) sounds absolutely horrible. If I could even play it. I've deleted and reinstalled many times, including after the 3/5 update, and still nothing. I have almost zero hope that it will return to a function app as enjoyable as the original. I may keep checking periodically, but I won't hold my breath.

Basic gameplay didn’t change and is still fun. This is basically Boggle with some additional features. If you like word games, you’ll probably enjoy the gameplay. However, there are some issues in my opinion. Nothing shows you the total number of words you or your opponent found in a round. Old version had this feature. The current version looks like it was designed to appeal to a 5 year old; I’m guessing most people that play the game are adults...5 year olds aren’t good at or probably interested in finding words. Too many opponents just quit and won’t finish a game; it takes 7 days for a game to expire. Players should get a loss and game should expire in 4-5 days in my opinion. Also, a previous opponent can create as many new games with you as they want; there is no way to reject a new game in this case (another good feature lost in new version). This is an extreme example, but I had one annoying player start over 30 games in a week with me.

I have given Word Crack 3 stars. Since it is a beguiling, addictive game, why the meh score? First, because the game will NOT change the game board in "practice" mode. I get the same screen, no matter what I do. I even UNinstalled Free Word Crack and signed up for the paid version... Same single screen for practice. Fix this, PLEASE! Second, it is critical that, when you play opponents, you know in advance whether they are using power-ups. It is needlessly discouraging to have a very good round without any help, only to be beaten over and over by people with obviously inflated scores. There needs to be a way that non-power-up users can identify themselves and not be paired with people playing with them (unless they want to). Last, I'm not even sute whether the other player gets the same board as I do. That should be spelled out and verifiable.

I dont know what you all have done with my regular word crack app & all my coins to go along with it & if you’re trying to force me into playing the word crack 2 edition all i have to say is “NO THANKS” especially with the way its alrdy acting on my phn which is all sorts of crazy. Now if you all are simply updating the original then my apologies but a heads up would be nice. Although from the looks of it i dont think thats the issue & if so i just have to say that im extremely disappointed. Ive been a faithful player for years & have bought many coins over the years, in which my last 330 have just vanished it seems with all your negative changes, & i would just really hope that this replacement crap isnt my permanent reward because if it is it will definitely be deleted from all my devices. Oh & just so you know, i had always gave exc reviews on & for word crack not to mention all the people i had told to dwnload the app. Just cant believe you all would go from a 5 star rating to a 1 so please prove me wrong.
