An Avid App Reviewer (Zoe)

I’ll start this by saying that I’ve tried many apps to help me keep track of my never ending habit and hobby of collecting plants that I find interesting. Most apps have failed to organize my plants in a decent and simple way, so I’ve deleted them and tried again with another application. This app has been helpful to me in generally organizing them in one space, however I have some suggestions that would help possibly make the app a little more user friendly and organize the main menu so I can find plants easier and be able to find information about them quicker:
1. Is like there to be a search bar on the top of the plant main menu. I’ve found myself sitting around watering plants and then wondering when a certain plant is getting watered next, so I go into the app, and I have to scroll through all of my logged plants to find the one I want (while also having to look at every single name until I see the one I wanted). Having a search bar would make it simple and easy for anyone to find the plant they want to by using key words or the exact name they logged the plant with.
2. Whenever I add a new plant, sometimes the image I take of my new plant gets transferred over to other plants I’ve logged previously. I’m not quite sure why this is as I’ve made sure none of the text in the description boxes or “titles” match, and it makes the organization of the app a little more difficult, as it places the wrong image, of the wrong plant, on the file of a different plant, which would lead to confusion if people aren’t careful when watering and only look at the picture.
3. Whenever I edit a plants file, the moment I press “save” it automatically removed the days/weeks/months that I scheduled for my plant to be watered and I have to reopen it again a second time in order for it to actually save. While it’s a minuscule problem in the scheme of things, it is quite annoying and it would be great if it could be fixed. This has been an issue since I first started using this app and it has never worked the first time I’ve saved any of my plants (which is why I’m including it in this review).
Overall, it’s a good app for what it is. It lets you log your plants in a compact space, alerts you when you need to water your plants, how many plants you need to water each day, how much water you need to water each plant, and the duration of time between watering. Lovely app, nice presentation, slight issues with organization, but I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good place to keep track of their decently sized collections of plants.
