The stream worked great for me and had it running through chromecast onto 55inch tv with no buffering. The reason for my low stars rating is purely that it auto renews your subscription. Now I had a feeling this may be the case so I searched the app for anywhere to that I could turn this off but couldn’t find one. So I assumed there’s nowhere to turn it off so it must not auto renew. Just arrived back in oz to see it’s still charging my account, then read through TOS to discover the only way to cancel is through the website. Hmmm....seems a bit dodgy that this setting cannot be found within the app itself. Some would even go as far as to say that this is on purpose 😏

I pay every year as I live overseas, but this is a poor app. Constant dropouts (my internet is rock solid and has no problems streaming anything else, so keep that excuse to yourself). Terrible interface: arbitrary jumps that I cannot control. So, after dropping out with “stream error”, I come back in and have to try to guess where the play is. Half the time it jumps 10-15 minutes into a quarter and I cannot pull it back except to 20 minutes into the previous quarter. Awful. Oh, and here’s a new “feature” this year: after so many dropouts, full time has passed, so instead of the “from start”/“from live” option, all I get is a play button. Guess what that does? Takes me to live at the end of the game, ruining any enjoyment. This has happened to two games so far. To say I’m not happy with this app is an understatement. Save your money to watch it on a laptop. For what we are paying (189 buck each!), this is really, really shoddy. I had support apologising about the poor video controls last year and they’ve done nothing to fix it.

I subscribed to this service for one month when I was outside Australia last year. I discovered six months later that FOXTEL was still charging me 20 pounds per month. I had Visa refund the most recent three months - that was as far back as they are willing to reimburse. Of course Visa gave FOXTEL the opportunity to prove they were entitled to extract ongoing monthly payments. Apparently they were unable to, as the refund remained on my credit card. There are a number of other critical reviews along this line, so it smells like a FOXTEL business strategy and probably contributes to the poor rating of 1.8 for this service.

I bought a subscription for the 2018 season and watched two games so far. One game was live and one on replay and the quality was perfect. I watched one on my computer and one using my phone which I streamed to the TV using apple tv. I don't normally bother to write reviews but I was surprised at so many negative comments, we have fast internet which helps. It is not cheap but still works out at less than $10 a week so for me well worth it when they only show one game a week in Canada at 2am

It claims to have HD live but constantly drops to unwatchable quality regardless of internet connection. Constant crashing, downloading speed is pathetic, games are not available to download around 6hrs after the and doesn’t download when app is open in the background. To charge money for this subscription is a disgrace. Tech support is useless and boarder line laughable. They want to blame everything other than their service. Only use this if you have no intention of watching anything live and can wait 2hrs the next day to download if it downloads at all!
