Walk and Fork is an exciting app for anyone who wants to get out there and enjoy the English countryside. With access to over 8,000 designated green spaces across the country – from Local Nature Reserves to National Parks – you are sure to find somewhere beautiful to visit. Search on your current location or an area you may be visiting on holiday. Scroll through stunning location photography and wildlife sightings and pinpoint these images within the green space boundary. See nearby walks (beta) and the nearest places for food and drink including photos and customer reviews. A single tap links you directly to the green space website, pub or cafe website or directions to the place from either your current location or the natural area. A summary feature allows you to collect together your chosen green space, walk and place of refresment and see route suggestions between them. Designated areas included are Special Sites of Scientific Interest (SSSI), National Parks (NP), National Nature Reserves (NNR), Local Nature Reserves (LNR), National Trails, Country Parks, Heritage Coasts and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), RSPB reserves, Battlefields and English Heritage parks/gardens. Every site has associated content to tell you more about the designation and the natural features which make it special. So great to have all these natural places on one map, in one app!
