Vouch - Matchmaking & Dating

I was looking forward to getting this new “unconventional” dating/hook up app but unfortunately I haven’t even had the option of seeing someone yet. Literally not a profile to be found for me to match with and im only 20 minutes outside of Dallas (and i have my location range set to accommodate for that). I like the design of the app and it’s easy to navigate and use! The color scheme is nice for a dating app and everything is clean. Unfortunately im having a hard time getting people to vouch for me. All my friends are married (which is like the target audience for this app right?) and getting them to download a dating app and going through the process to say a paragraph about me isn’t something they want to do unfortunately. I sent out 7 requests to get vouched and only one of my friends have followed through. I understand the vouch needs to be credible but there has to be an easier way for people to vouch for someone. After all they’re not interested in having the dating app, they have already found their person. I know this app is pretty new still so im looking forward to seeing how it will grow and hopefully being a small part in it. Hopefully i can update my rating soon with 5 stars and nothing bad to say!! I still dont have anything necessarily bad to say, i just think there are things the app needs to improve on.

I think app is good. I remember when it started in Dallas a few years ago. I wonder why it never took off? I literally have more personal recommendations on linked in than this has in App Store...

As a professional matchmaker I am on a constant search for technology that I can use to help people come together. The idea of this app is great but the implementation needs a lot of work. Experience has taught me to use my old device when setting up accounts on apps that have not been vetted. Thank god I took that approach with this app! First of all it requires Facebook to creat an account. I logged in with my current Facebook account, but for some reason this app picked up an old test Facebook account that I used on this device. Now I cannot use the app even if I wanted to. There is no way to remove or update the account. Signup requires your Facebook credentials, your email address, and your phone number. That seems a bit much based on what the app is promoted to do, but I will admit that I may be a little more trepidatious than most. Feels like data mining to me. The interface seems sparse and clunky. It needs work. I think this app is a good idea. At first glance I was ready to invite my network of 4800 singles to the app in hopes of using it as a tool for matchmaking. I just cannot endorse it in its current state. I see potential, but I gotta keep searching... Kudos to the developer for the effort!

Vouch is so dope! I love the fact that I can still vouch for my friends without using the app to find dates for myself. Such a brilliant idea!

There doesn’t seem to be enough marketing or advertising to get this app up and running. Not enough users. App design is clean and easy to use. The idea behind having your friends swipe for you is great.
