Virgin TV Go

I have had this app from the beginning and I generally find it to be pretty good. Especially when we go away and stay in hotels. So watching Bodyguard in Krakow was pretty cool. We have the full sports package too but have found this much less reliable. It just seems to me that if Sky decide that Virgin customers shouldn’t be able to watch something, say the cricket for instance, then that is it and you get the death statement unable to stream at the present time!!. Virgin claim it’s not their fault and Sky disclaim all responsibility. Never gets resolved and I do feel a bit cheated that I have paid to watch sport on demand and on quite a few occasions it is just unavailable. Virgin you need to get your finger out here I feel as not everyone is as generous as me I think.

Was advised “problems with streaming “. and Virgin promised to get back to me. Waited and waited, then I rang back only to,be told it possibly would be sorted by 2am. Still nothing. I’m house bound and rely on Virgin to keep me entertained. My bill this month was £98. Sorry, but I can’t afford to keep paying this sort of money for lack of service. It’s just not fair. I look at offers made to new customers and they don’t have to pay anything near £98. Should I go to Sky? Or should Virgin apologise and fix the problems,? Phoned several times but call centre (in India?) said the person who could sort it was on their lunch break but would get back to: me. I’m still waiting. I’m sure it’s a simple tweak as I can get other services but just not TV Control.

we had no choice but to change to using sky and sky go . so i can say that being back with virgin media and being able to compare both when we left there was no virgin media go but sky had sky go. which i used a lot when it worked i did find that there was problems as the speed wasn't there which meant the program wasn't there either most of the time virgin media go is great all our programmes are there and there no sudden freeze and loss of program. so far im very happy to be back with virgin media . as a disabled consumer i find the new tvio box subtitles on or off option very uses full as I've recently lost some hearing . and find all the new apps ( to me ) very helpful so glad to be back

So my virgin package is meant to have around 114 channels available on this app including BT sport. Yesterday it had 54 and none of the BT Sport channels were there despite them being on my main TV and working and me regularly watching them when away from home tv. Today by magic I have over 120 channels including BT Sport so I can actually watch the champions league when I am away from my house. Try to raise a live chat with virgin support, nope all incredibly busy please ring -read that as no one working or off watching footie or bugger we are swamped with people asking where has BT sport gone from the app. Reinstalling didn’t work nor logging out and in, almost like they removed them to save bandwidth When it works it’s good but no one can explain why channels disappear and return, support non existent and nothing on virgin website saying issues etc

I laugh when people come on and say something about they don’t know why others are complaining because they’re able to get this useless app working properly. Well good for them but at this time of asking it’s got a rating of 2/5 which isn’t that good is it? Still it gives me hope because up to now all I’ve found is its dire. Slow, crashes a lot, tells me I’ve used up all my devices when I know I haven’t. This .app makes you install other .apps if you want to view certain media. Of course you have to log back in. No problemo except when I do it doesn’t recognise the password I only used only a minute ago. The people who are moaning about this must be in the 60% of people who think it’s rubbish. I am.
