UpLight - Sunrise Alarm App

I love it, but only when it works. The app crashes constantly, making it unreliable. If the app changes in the middle of the night, it won't wake me up. Please fix!

Setting the alarm does nothing but send me a notification..... No sound plays, and light does nothing when alarm goes off!!!

I live in Seattle where waking up to sunlight only happens three months of the year. I just received my up lights and my first wake up was refreshing and I actually thought there was sun coming through my window. So far so good. It took a while for the app to “see” the bulb before I could customize it. And sometimes I have to turn it on and off again after changing settings before they take effect. The app sometimes doesn’t visually show my lightbulb icon so I have to tap an appearance of an empty spot to bring up the menus..... it’s there I just can’t see it? The app as far as I see doesn’t give you an option to set different wake times for different days of the week (like sleeping in during the weekend). But maybe that’s not the point... so no biggie. I just wish the app wouldn’t glitch... maybe software updates in the future will address these bugs?

The application and bulb both seemed to work great the first night into the first morning I had it. It slowly turned on in the morning, just as I had set it to, and eased me into waking up, so I wasn't as groggy as I usually can be. The next day, however, the bulb would show up on the app, but when I went to go open the page where you control the bulb, it would black out the name of the bulb, as if it got disconnected. Deleted and reinstalled the app several times, and on more than one device with no changes. It has been days, and now all I have is an expensive lightbulb that I can turn on and off with the controls that the lamp it is plugged into has. I'm really hoping they can squash the bugs for this, because I was looking forward to using it.

To be fair, when I first got my UpLight this app was horribly glitchy. Now, it is much better and functions consistently almost all of the time. However, the music and noises function of the app does not work at all. It scrolls through my music and picks a song despite me picking a song, it shows an empty circle with a play button all the time even when sound is playing and no sound is ever associated with my alarms so I continue to back up the light with a phone alarm. I do enjoy waking up by light a lot though, and having a lamp I can control by my bedside is fantastic.
