Treadmill Trainer Workouts

This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Yesterday was the first day I used it and I’m already LOVING it. Not only does it give you a variety of workouts but it gives you the set speeds for a certain amount of minutes. Which I love And I’ve been looking for in apps - so glad I came across this one. The only thing I would want is being able to track the workout...for example; a list of when each workout was done but hey that’s no big deal everything else works perfect and like I said 445 calories in 30 minutes and I was drenched in sweat.😅 Once again and louder; THIS APP IS EXACTLY WHAT I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR AND DAY ONE AND I LOVE IT! *makes me look forward to my next workout.*

I’m recently forced to workout inside of a gym instead of outside and I needed some motivation. The app had a good score so I tried it. I’ve done two runs and I was sweating hardcore at the end BUT both runs (in HIIT) had mistakes on the mileage, the time and the distance. In the countdown portion of the window it would say 2 mins and 5 mph but on the bottom half of the window, it would say 30 second and 3 mph. I also did a 15 min run, which at the end was supposed to put me over 1 mile and at the end of that run I had 4 mins left of my 15 min run (according to my treadmill) and was at .86 miles. It’s not a deal breaker but there were consistent errors in the displayed numbers.

It’s very basic and you could essentially just download this info and it’d be the same thing only at least the app keeps time for you and verbally warns you of upcoming speed changes. Some of the workouts are incorrect though. For example, under the HIIT programs, the 15 minute medium routine is actually only 10 minutes long (c’mon, it’s simple math) and the last 3 intervals are wrong. It says the third to last is a walk, but when it gets to there it tells you to run it 10mph. Similar problem with the last 2 intervals. So, it has bugs but if you don’t want to pay for a more advanced app, this will keep you honest on the treadmill.

Well, it’s free. But, so are many other couch to 5K apps. And this has a couple of drawbacks. For one, if you go into another app you have to restart your work out. Since I started the first workout with a 10 minute walk, I thought I would check my email. I came back after five minutes only to find out I had to restart. Second: it turns on the flashlight during the run intervals. What’s with that? It’ll just run down your battery really fast. The one thing I will say for it is it gives you a speed to set the treadmill to. But my advice is to shop around. That’s what I’m about to do.

I guess since it’s free I can’t complain too much but it needs work. Whenever I click the settings icon it brings me to the next page but then freezes on me. I’ve had to restart my phone twice now to go back into the app. Guess I will just avoid it for now. I like the 20 minute 5k option but I looked at the first workout at it starts with running 6.5mph for 9 minutes and I’m not there yet. So maybe this one is for runners more advanced than me but the fat to 5k is too easy for me, so I’m in limbo. I guess I will try and tailor it the best to my abilities at this time.
