Titan: Smart Investing.

Clay and the Titan team have created a ground-breaking investment app that virtually does all of the heavy lifting for the investor, while providing insight and education about the “why” aspect of the portfolio. Clay is essentially a modern day Buffet evangelist committed to using proprietary software to review hedge funds’ 13-f reports to find the best stocks with high moats and strong long-term fundamentals. If you believe, as I do, in the old investment adage that stock performance tends to track solid and consistent return on invested capital (ROIC), then look no further—Titan is THE app to use. If, however, you want to find the next high flying IPO with high growth prospects but questionable long-term moats and/or little to no record of strong ROIC, then you may want to look elsewhere, like Las Vegas or Macau. Good luck and go Titan!

This app is simply a tremendous idea. Scaling hedge funds to learn the moves they are making, and seamlessly implementing it into individual portfolios as opposed to one overall fund. It’s brilliant and gives the user the best of both worlds. It truly feels like your own personal hedge fund in your pocket. My only wish is for more competitive fees. Perhaps .35-.5% would be more appealing for early on investors (which, lets face it, is who this app is appealing to). I fear the 1% may scare some folks away when they could comparatively throw their money at a Robo advisor like Wealthfront for .25% fees. I know it’s not the same thing, and not what Titan is aspiring to be, but most investing noobs don’t know and won’t care. Anyway, I’ll eat the fee because I’m bullish on this project, this idea, and the intuitiveness of the UI. But that’s just me... Love the app. Love the idea. The devs seem to be active and along for the ride with the investors. Excited to see where they take this train.

Having worked in finance at multiple hedge funds, I can tell you that the long-term investing that Titan does is hard to find in most hedge funds, and a source of alpha for Titan. Most hedge fund portfolio managers can’t invest like this because they are subject to risk controls (-10% and you’re fired). Thus, they 1) crowd into many of the same trades, or 2) play short-term (ex. company missed earnings. Even though portfolio manager knows this is a good long term investment, the street will lower this company’s earning projections in their models, and thus a lower valuation. Thus, the need to sell because the stock may go down) More important than the performance, in my opinion, is the educational content that comes from top guys who worked in the industry.

The team at Titan has truly made investing easy and informative for investors like myself! I don’t have all day to understand algorithms and markets shifts and data...that’s not my job. The information the Titan teams puts together for its investors is exactly what Is needed to understand what’s going on in the markets. I can safely say that the Titan team is making wise decisions as I sit back and focus on my profession. Before Titan, I pretended to understand what was going on in the markets and was making poor decisions with my investments...now, I can just leave it to the professional and get the updates/news when I want it. Thanks Titan Team! Keep up the good work!

I've been using Titan for a little over a year. I'm a bit of a believer is the low expense index funds, but saw your product and I thought I'd give it a try. While the returns have been good, what has really stuck out to me is your content you provide. I likely would have left Titan because of the 1% fee (which I get is not a bad fee for financial advisors, but is very high compared to low cost index funds). However, your content has been so consistent, insightful, and helpful that leaving doesn't make much sense. I just wanted to leave that positive feedback and I'll leave it online as well.
