Tippy: Cashless Tip Solutions

I was skeptical at first, but my tips went through the roof! I noticed it the first week. Clients telling me they never knew what to tip at a salon, or they didn’t realize they weren’t tipping 20%...super helpful. Best and easiest App to use...so user friendly and fun! Tippy claims they do not charge a fee to the service provider receiving the tip but in fact they do. In their terms of service they claim that the client leaving the tip owes the fee. But they extract it from the service provider leaving them to recover Tippy’s fee from the client after the initial transaction. Since Tippy won’t show you what fees they are charging you in advance you can’t pass it to the client until after they left the tip. So in effect the person receiving the tip has to pay the $.50/transaction plus 2.75% of the tip amount(much higher than Square). And Tippy offers no reporting so that you can see the original tip amount minus Tippy's fees in order to verify what you are bring charged to receive tips. Why are the hiding this info from those of us paying for their service? I’m not sure if this will be seen as they have other 1star reviews that are blocked.

Tippy is very user friendly! This is the perfect app to help track ALL your tips while simultaneously increasing your credit card tips!
