The Ocean Race

This is a fantastic app. Rich in content, articles, blogs, team bios and more. Warning, when the race starts, this is downright addicting. Up to the moment maps and race details. To someone who is old enough to remember waiting two weeks for a two sentence update of any kind of sailing race, this is like being onboard the entire way. Bravo.

New coverage for 17-18 VOR is disappointing in some areas. Need more OBR reports and videos and less slow-moving, repetitive dialogue from someone who says he doesn't know what he's talking about. He asks an expert to explain, but the whole report is very slow-moving. Also, it is difficult to find out when live coverage will start. I understand the times of arrival at port are not predictable, but it would be nice to get some idea further in advance so that we know when to start looking for the live broadcast. The website keeps saying a report will come at 1300 UCT, but then nothing shows up, and it is very dated when it does finally get posted.

Absolutely love the tracking feature in this app. So fun to know where the boats are and the distance between the leader and the rest of the field.

I have an iPhone 5S. This ap locks up when I select video option and puts me in an endless loop of hitting "back to home" then the only way to recover is to delete the app off my phone and reload it from the App Store. Sometimes it does this when selecting other menu options as well. I've had to do this at least twice a day since the race started

Great layout and set up for quick indulgence from a mobile platform.
