The Teatro Bellini is one of the most ancient theatres in Naples: placed in the heart of the historical centre of the city, it was inaugurated in 1864, destroyed after a few years by a fire and built again in 1871. Nowadays, the theatre keeps unaltered its Nineteenth-century beauty. Many different activities coexist in it, hosted by the numerous and lively spaces of the building: not only the majestic main theatre, but also the Piccolo Bellini, mainly used for niche shows, the space Laterzagorà, in the foyer, that is a bookshop and a location for meetings with the artists and for book presentations at the same time, and the Sottopalco, a café/bistrot dedicated to exhibitions and live music shows.
