TD Ameritrade AdvisorClient®

First, how may freaking TD Ameritrade apps are there??!!! I opened an account and I just want to see my balance - that’s all! It took forever to figure out which app to use until I finally stumbled across this one. I sign in and it says I have $0 🤦🏻‍♂️ Meanwhile if I go to the website, I can see my balance... which is NOT $0.

Update! I called their customer support again, and they literally told me don’t use the app they’re advising people to just login from their phones onto the website because that gives you better, not perfect, but better information. They have completely abandoned this app and told me it’s going to be months before they get anything working again. What a joke! I’m moving my money to Schwab who seems to know what they’re doing from an app standpoint. Old review: So TD Ameritrade has somehow broken the back end of this app. For the last few weeks anything that is not a stock or an ETF now shows change from the day before either as “plus infinity” or “minus infinity”. Stocks and ETFs are showing correctly. I called support, they claim they are aware that there is an issue, but they appear to be in no hurry to correct it. Seems like TD Ameritrade is really not that interested in supporting smart phones or mobile apps. Maybe they’re too busy counting their money.

No longer getting real time streaming quotes as of the update to 1.2.3 I called their tech-support and talked to two different people neither of which knew there was a problem. They told me to send screenshots. What a joke how do you send a screenshot showing that real time streaming quotes don’t work! I told her why don’t you just try it out you must have a QA department? She said I am the QA department and I don’t want to load the newest version on my phone if it’s broken! Wow. If they are that incompetent I’m going to pull my money out.

Have used the app for over a year, but today it stopped working on my iPhone X. Within seconds of logging on the app crashes. Rebooted phone. Didn’t fix the problem. Deleted the app and reinstalled and rebooted the phone and it still won’t work. Have no idea what changed, but now the app is completely nonfunctional. When it’s working it’s spartan, but gives you access to your account balances and positions, as well as transaction history. Won’t allow you to trade via the app.

I use this app mostly to deposit checks into my accounts. It works well for that purpose - no rejects or other problems with the deposits. I also check holdings and balances.
