Style Lend: Lend Your Closet

I was very hesitant to rent clothes, because of some bad experiences at other companies (ie RTR). However, I was more than pleased with the service I experienced at Style Lend. First, the customer service rep's will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. I was stuck in a situation where I needed a last minute dress for a wedding because the tailor had completely ruined my dress that I had planned on wearing (could you believe it)? And I didn't want to fork up so much money on a designer gown, and couldn't find any mid range ones I liked. I had contacted Style Lend and they found me the most gorgeous Oscar De La Renta gown ($3000 retail!) for $150. The experience was great and I had it for a full week. I will definitely be using Style Lend in the future and I will also list some of my items to make money!

This is great if you're looking to rent. If you're considering sending your clothes for renting out, follow up with them after every rental to make sure they are inspecting and cleaning your clothes as advertised. I have two gowns that were not cleaned and one required alterations after a rental. I found the damages after I closed my closet with them and got the pieces home. The first gown I noticed was fixed. After they put the responsibility on me to get the dress back to them (when they clearly should have inspected, cleaned, and fixed the gown after the rental - and charged me for a cleaning that didn't happen.) I also had to go to them to pick it up after it was fixed. I sucked it up because I just wanted it done. Now I'm inspecting a second gown and I don't want the hassle of dropping it off/picking it up. So I'm carrying the burden of fixing it. It had as stains that I'll probably have to just cut off, turning a full length gown to a cocktail dress. (I'm writing this review only after noticing the damage on the 2nd gown, hoping the first one was just an oversight.) So rent to your heart's delight, but I'd cautiously consider sending your clothes to be rented out. They don't inspect and care for your clothes as they say they do.

I have been renting out my closet with StyleLend for a few months now. It’s so easy! They provide the shipping labels and all you have to do is put it in the mail. Getting paid is just as easy! I love the app and the customer support is excellent. Highly recommend if you are looking for a little extra money. They have a huge selection of designer products that are very affordable to rent too!

I have been using Stylelend for the last few years and love it! This is a great idea - you can rent out your closet and also borrow from the closets of some very fashionable women! It allows me to try out new styles, save money (the rental prices here are cheaper than rent the runway) and earn money. How can you argue with a triple win? The CEO, Lona Alia, is very responsive and all my experiences have been terrific. I would highly encourage anyone reading this to try out the app.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Style Lend! I used the amazing wardrobe available via Style Lend to dress myself for my TV show "Million Dollar Matchmaker" this past season. It was such much more economical & my best fashion season ever! Plus, I love the concept of sustainable fashion. I don't see the point of owning an extensive wardrobe when you can "borrow" whenever you need. Plus, the level of professionalism is exceptional! Love, Candace
