The picture quality on the app is good. However, really lags behind other video players as you are not able to airplay within the player to your Apple TV. Every update, I wait for this and it never comes. The developers need to work to build on the option on the player to allow you to cast to your Apple TV instead of having to mirror your screen and your phone is useless for the duration of the programme you’re watching.

If you like me wanted to watch the World Cup during the day on the move you will find each time you change form WiFi to 4G or from 4G to 3G or any other combination from above you will find yourself loading and watching the same advert again and again. The advert loads but the football will take a solid 60 to 180 seconds after the advert to kick in meaning each time you change signal tower or enter a building your missing at-least 2 mins of the game so you can watch an advert netting STV penny’s whitest missing your team hit the back of the net. Further more and I can’t be the only one I have no build up hate for the company in the advert not because the advert is bad but I associate it with missing the action. Take heed advertisers your building up dislike with the public for money when you advertise with STV

The regionalisation of the ITV hub means us poor folk in Scotland have to use this monstrosity of an app of wanting to watch ITV on the move. Obviously the World Cup has been on so had to use this app. The adverts before it allows you to access a programme will have you tearing your hair out they are that repetitive and you’ll soon see the advert again when the app closes should you receive a notification. If the app works then the delay is laughably bad as is the buffering. ITV recently decided to close down STV 2 and want STV to concentrate on online content. It won’t be hard to improve on this atrocious app where 1 star is way too high an award, thank goodness for TV catchup app allows you to get around the regionalisation problem thus keeping the stress levels down

Really pleased with this app from STV. The 6 o’clock news is available much quicker on catch up than the alternative Scottish News programme and STV news is far better. Would love to see an equivalent 10pm version of the same calibre as the 6 o’clock programme (which I often miss but thanks to STV player, can view when it suits me). App is very easy to use and I would like to see more from the STV archives made available. As an aside, it would be great to have STV produce a replacement for Good Morning Britain which is dire.

It’s great how you can watch the shows that are live right now from the start if you missed a bit but the only annoying thing is if the app is being glitchy and you go off the app you can’t watch from where you left off because it doesn’t count as something you have watched you have to watch all of it again could you please fix this.
