Stoptober

About to quit starting today and aim to go on well after October! Love the app already been helpful letting me set my goals and motivation, there’s just one slight annoyance the money saving feature doesn’t really work as I smoke roll ups so obviously i’m not saving as much as it says. As a short term fix I’ll do some maths and try and make it accurate but would really appreciate a choice e.g how much is a pouch of tobacco and how long does it take you to smoke it? That might work

So this app has been absolutely great and I as a week into 28 days, when, I guess, an update happened, which cancelled all of my info. When I went into the app again - I had to start all over again. It let me set that I haven’t been smoking for a week, thank god, but all my motivation photos of my kids, achievements and etc was gone. And it’s quite hard to get that far, so was rather discouraging. Not a fan of new interface either, old one gave me an overview on page one, this one doesn’t:( but otherwise it’s useful. Might have been even better if you could chat with other people who are using it about their experiences, otherwise feels a bit isolated.

The journey has been lousy at times and heart rewarding other times. Next target is 90 days then it must be a lifetime adventure with no more big chief smoking tobacco or little miss cigar. I’m grateful for Stoptober big time. The encouragement factor seemed to really work after many attempts to quit smoking let’s hope this time it’s the done deal. Keep up the good work working with the NHS and feel as amazing as we ex smokers do. Yaaaa! Thank you. My goodness it’s a good feeling to say no to smoking.

This app has given me even more incentive to continue on as I watched the cash add up , thanks to the calculator function based on exactly what you smoke and cost of cigarettes I can see clearly 38 days smoke free £666 saved wow . So now I know exactly what to bank for each month stopped and can treat myself in the future.

Have tried quitting smoking before and failed miserably. Didn’t have a lot of faith in the app and didn’t see how it would help...but it did!! 48 days and counting now. The money saver is great and the bits of info you get each day really really help. Would highly recommend if you wana give up smoking
