Assuming if I am satisfied with the media content, I still encounter many bugs with viewing the content. Most of the bugs are related to casting on Google chrome device. One common problem is the streaming playback is in a muted mode and I have no way to unmute it. (Tried the App and Chromecast to no avail) The simplest way I found is to reset Chromecast (and sometimes the App as well). Another common problem is the streaming media doesn’t playback and the App became irresponsive. The solution I found is to toggle the App between background and active screen (strange isn’t it) to reveal the “Play” button. A third issue I found is the App often display an error message of “streaming devices exceeded limit” when I select different episode of media on the same device. In fact there was only one device streaming. Fourthly, when I was viewing a Chinese entertainment catch up programme, I encountered an error of “streaming media encoding could not be played on your device”. I believe most users would like to watch media through casting on TV and I find these bugs are unacceptable. Too many bugs and too painful to use the App. No wonder Starhub is losing market share despite a tightly regulated market in Singapore.

Used to be able to register 5 devices, now can only register 2 devices but strangely the second device can only play first time. After which both devices cannot play and I have to login every time to delete both devices. Error is still saying 5 devices reached but website only show 2 devices. I called the support before and said someone will get back to me but never happen. Support even claim can have 2 concurrent now and should be still 5 devices. Can you sort this out SH? Everyday I must login and remove device a few times. I have a tablet to cast during day and watch on phone at night. This is so bad. Please learn from Netflix, only concurrent session matters. Not number of devices. You are just creating extra work for us. Covid 19 stay at home is a chore already.

It’s a great app but casting to Chromecast is abit glitchy, it seems to keep on muting the audio and show a press to unmute indication. The audio is not even mute on the app. Chromecast volumes also has been put to max volume. How the developers can fix this little issue. Other than that everything works fine. Wish it would cast and load faster like the Singtel Cast app

Keep getting error either watching on the app or safari. On safari I keep getting unsupported content type error even after retrying multiple times. Same goes to the app, have to retry multiple times in order to play one episode. Need better UI as well, no easy way to fast forward or skip to next episode, no option to turn off subtitle. More time spent on getting the shows to play than actually watching it.

This app claims that Starhub post paid customers will not be charged for streaming the shows on the app. However, every time after I watch one ep of my show and check my data usage, there is a spike due to the streaming of videos. Even though I have changed my mobile data network setting to “shwap”, it still utilizes my data. Very disappointing. Called the Starhub Operators and they advised to uninstall the app instead. Lol. Please fix this issue and return me my wasted data and money.
