Sounds simple enough when reading the description, but you soon discover that a bit of thinking is needed to place items where you get the most benefit. This then enables the power ups you need to destroy the pests and claim your rewards. It doesn’t take too long before you have earned enough to unlock other characters and abilities and progress to more planets. I’m still working my way through the game and progressing more slowly than some, but it’s a very nice relaxing experience with a bit of thinking. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a game that you can play for a bit of a stretch or just for a few minutes when you have the time.

A perfect game to download before a long flight or trainride. Starbeard is a very clever combination of matching games (like Candy Crush) and roguelike Turn Based Strategy (like Into The Breach). You can pick it up and instantly get hooked, but if you're looking for tactical depth and challenge it's here in spades. Beautiful graphics and sound plus top notch presentation make for a lovely and intuitive experience.

A great take on the matching genre - this had got nice visuals, a beautiful ambient soundtrack, and a charming setting of space gnomes trying to grow gardens! While the interaction takes a little time to learn, it's a lot of fun once you get into it, and very rewarding watch your bearded dudes unleash their powers on those pesky insects.

Starting quite simply, matching the different shapes, it gets more complex and tough as you play through. Gets to be a very strategic game but also very addictive. Really nice graphic style and music too! Really love this game- a clever match-X game with some innovative additions wrapped in a charming and fun style.

Nice little match 3 game with interesting ideas you don’t see anywhere else. Unlike others this limits you to only moving the nearest blocks in the columns, which creates some neat puzzles
