SSEC - GOES

This is a great app with a few problems. It provides awesome satellite imagery but it is slow loading and it needs a way to create a gif animation because currently you can only create a still screen shot image. In the past I’ve had the app crash while the animation is loading but recently it hasn’t been crashing and it seems to only occasionally crash. When these problems are fixed I will give this app 5 stars. I would also really like to know if the app is still being maintained.

I love the functionality, but I can’t fathom the reason for the absurdly long loading times for animations. The College of duPage web app viewer, while not mobile-friendly, loads nearly instantly even on my phone. This app routinely takes over 30 seconds to load an imagery loop, so I find I rarely use it.

Always wondered why nobody developed an app like this - a multi product, full resolution, awesomely flexible satellite viewer. Performance could be improved a bit (some of the animations take a long time to load) but overall this is an awesome app for any serious weather enthusiast or professional. Great job guys.

This is seriously the best app for viewing Visible & Infrared products. While there are more products those two are my favorites. I love seeing the swirls in the clouds as severe storms build and form. Watching Hurricane Harvey form & the eye transitions made this so worth it.

Amazing to be able to pull up the data from GOES-16 anytime anywhere! Can’t wait to see the data from the next satellites.
