Squad vs Crowd!

Fun game yet repetitive but also on the heavy side of grinding. However, an issue I have with the game is the price for weapon upgrades and stat/gold upgrades (this will be explained separately) Weapons are great and will really carry you thru majority of the stages IF you know what gun to focus on. The game gets really hard, but mostly boring when you have to rely on ADS TO UPGRADE just about everything. The pricing on just about every weapon (when it’s above a certain level) becomes absurdly and ridiculously expensive, so much that you’ll have to watch a 30 second ad just to upgrade it 1 level. Even then, it still wouldn’t make a difference when playing a stage and you’ll need to watch ads again and again just to reach your desired firepower. When you get pass stage 70, gold doesn’t even matter when you can watch an ad that’ll upgrade your gun for free bcuz you can’t afford it. Pricing needs changes or better yet... The coin multiplier needs a rework!! Seriously, that’s the biggest issue right now. You can increase the coin you earn by x amount for x price but the more you purchase the upgrade, the more ridiculously expensive you get.. and it’s to where you cannot even afford it bcuz you’re consistently making 10-20 times less than the cost of 1 upgrade. To top it all off, the amount you earn isn’t enough to purchase a single upgrade once you get far enough into the game.

I got the mini gun and now the game won’t let me change out weapons. Levels get repetitive after a while, and the bad guys are too easy after you figure them out, which is pretty much right away. For the most part you just run in circles around them until they die. Got to level 250 without ever dying or increasing health by just running in circles. Maybe having larger groups of bad guys, mixed types of bad guys, and irregularly shaped proximity lines to activate bad guys (or invisible lines, or no proximity lines) would spice things up. It could be a really good game with just a little more work, but instead it’ll probably end up being the game I play this week then forget about, then delete next week when I realize it’s still on my phone.

The game starts out good, the different weapons add for a fun and cool way to take on tons of enemies and cleaving them down is often satisfying. However in the later stages of the game (particularly 80+) all the weapons are useless besides the sniper rifle. They all do extremely underwhelming damage and are inherently useless. The sniper rifle however is only good because of its bugged firing method in which its bullets will continuously home in on enemies making each one hit about 5 times. The only way I’ve found to progress in this game is to watch adds to get seriously overpowered late game weapons (that when I unlock them they’re actually quite terrible). Also watching adds to upgrade the overly expensive weapon costs which even still make the weapons not the slightest bit better. All in all the game needs some serious balancing, and is not bad to play for a bit, but becomes seriously tedious later on. (Also this is a given in the current state of mobile games, but too many ads, I recommend restricting data usage for the game in Settings)

This game was very amusing... until someone had the great idea to update it with a failed leveling mechanic. I went from never loosing more than 10 health to being one shotted. I was making a billion a level to nothing but a couple million At my level that doesn't do anything for me. My upgrades are so expensive I can’t afford to buy into them. My guns cost too much to upgrade and since I can’t make any money it takes forever. I payed for the game and by giving them money I was not supposed to be forced to watch ads... but guess what you, can’t upgrade things with money because you have to watch ads anyway even if you have the money to simply buy the upgrade. Hot garbage, just download tic Tac toe and play by yourself it will be more fun.

This is really heartbreaking because Voodoo used to put out some okay time-killer type mobile games. This is just awful. They’ve went to the “energy” play type of gaming where it basically artificially stops how much you can play the game, and I could deal with that if it wasn’t for all these Chinese companies crowding out the App Store and ripping off each other’s art assets. I was playing Archero when I got the ad for this game, which is hilarious because this game has multiple enemies that came directly from Archero. Absolutely no shame anymore, low effort games put out as quickly as they can get them out of the development period, and then all further development goes towards ways to try and artificially corral you into buying things.
