I bought this to use for running sound cues for theatrical productions, mainly because it can play multiple tracks at once. It would be worth that if it were priced at 4.99 or lower, but for $39 I expect more. It doesn't allow you to directly import files from Voice Memos on the same device (you have to transfer the file to iTunes on your computer, convert it to an mp3, transfer it back to the device, then import it into the app); it doesn't allow you to set a fixed number of times a track will loop before continuing to the next track; there is a 1 - 2 second lag moving directly from one track to the next (leaving a gap in the sound instead of a continuous transition)...I'm sure there are other things it can't do that I haven't found yet, because I haven't needed them. Without this added functionality, playing multiple tracks at once is the only thing this app can do that a basic music app can't, and that single function is not worth the cost. Don't waste your money.

Will you please, please, PLEASE, do something about that rating pop up? There’s no way to get off the page! Even if you select a rating, the page stays. The only way to get out of it is to close out the app entirely. Even so, opening the app and attempting to add tracks brings the dreaded pop up, rendering the app completely unusable. I paid $39 for this and would like to be able to use it. I’ve never seen an app use a rating pop up that didn’t give the options to decline or put off a rating until later. It’s kind of self defeating to try to force someone to rate your work by holding their app hostage, isn’t it? Before you respond by asking why I didn’t contact support, know that I *did* contact support and nothing has been fixed. Since Soundboard Studio is adamant about receiving a rating, I’ve given one: 1 star.

I needed to get to multiple sound cues for events, workshops, and presentations. For me, this is the best of any program out there, and I’ve tried a lot. I have not had any trouble importing music, although there were a few I had to convert to .mp3 first. The fade option, start and stop time options, and ability to choose to play once or go to the next song, have all been very helpful. I would say the price is high given many of the features that other reviewers are looking for, but I’m also hoping that they might add an update since many of those should be easy to include. Overall, this program is exactly what I’m looking for, and it is sure to get used an awful lot.

Been a DJ for 10+ years and I got this for sporting events and shows. Looking forward to using it more but would like to see some improvements. The slider for cue points in the track control is too small. Trying to get down to the right second on a longer track takes the hands of a surgeon. Maybe allowing data entry from the keyboard or making the window larger would help. Expanded gain control for tracks would help. The default is having the track maxed but sometimes I need to bring a track a little higher. So I would have to bring every track down to get one track higher. Or bring every other track low down so the one I need is higher. That's too much work. When moving tracks around the "shaking" stops after the track is placed. That's hard when importing multiple tracks. You have to click the sorting button before moving every track. A lighter skin choice might be nice too. Other than that it's really easy to learn and works great. For the price it knocks everything else out of the ring that compares to work on a tablet or laptop.

I was a bit concerned by the handful of negative reviews among the mostly positive reviews. Biggest concerns: 1) doesn’t yet support fade out via AirPlay (as the developer clearly states) and 2) risk of being prompted to rate the app while using it (e.g., during one’s first use in a live setting). Overall, seems user friendly. One small limitation is that I can’t seem to import more than one file at a time from my Mac via AirDrop. But besides that, all is working fine. I’m trying to proactively rate the app here in hopes that it prevents being prompted to rate it when I’m using it in a live setting. I’ll report back if that’s not the case.
