Something Good

I met this app creator on Reddit. S/he was going through a deep depression and was working on finding happiness by helping others when s/he came up with this app idea. S/he created it with the pure intention of helping others and makes no profit from it. I love this app. I use it every day, but the best is when I’m feeling super low and I think to open the app and then suddenly I’m focused on doing the suggested task. Takes me out of my head and benefits someone else in my life, too. Everybody wins.

I have shared this app with my friends and family. It is simple, but very profound. It reminds me what it means to be human. Sometimes it’s making a batch of cookies to hand it to people and other times it’s to tell someone a kind word. Beautiful.

This app is a much needed reminder to stay outward focused in the social media driven culture of greed and egocentrism. I love its elegant and simple design—beautiful, without being addictive. A true breath of fresh air.

This app has helped me come out of my bubble and be more for other people and not just myself.
