Love the idea of this camera. For my church this product is almost vital for us to use... except that I can’t even use it at this point for one of the two reasons we bought it. There isn’t any hardware reason I shouldn’t be able to use it as a remote camera, only a software reason. I understand why (only a tiny bit) the indoor accessory isn’t available yet. Still in production. that piece still needs refinements to the hardware. What about as a remote PTZ camera? This unit has all the ability to be that, the app just hasn’t coded for that feature yet and I find that a bit absurd! There is no reason to have that feature kept under wraps mostly because I can’t imagine it’s all that difficult, you already know how to tell the camera to move the motors manually. Quite honestly how I’m setting the camera up doesn’t even need to have a live feed coming off of it (HDMI output is going to a different monitor). This was the only feature that I felt was going to save us from having to wait even longer till the indoor accessory comes out. Eagerly awaiting that software unlock, ya’ll. Thanks. Cheers. Review update: Feb. 3, 2018 — Just updated the base to version 3.1.10 and it still doesn’t have support for remote operation.

I emailed Soloshot several times. Still no response. If you buy this system you will be on your own using it. The manual basically tells you what the buttons are but not how to use them. The Soloshot3 app is totally useless except for posting videos online. No remote control just viewing. I wondered why everyone that I spoke with about this system was unhappy with it. Now I know why. You buy it and you are on your own. Hold off buying it. Someone else will come out with a similar system soon. If they provide customer support that will be it for Soloshot.

After waiting for more than two years for SOLOSHOT 3, the camera, base and their app are horrible. This app provides practically nothing that the original product promised. There is no Director or Coach mode. No ability to adjust the device or settings from the app. Cannot review videos or photos that were not done in live streaming. No Astro tracking. All you can do is watch what other members have live streamed. Absolutely horrible app! Waiting for all of the features promised, but so far......nothing! 5 out of 5 stars is an appalling joke, so I was forced to write a review.

Great concept but there are concerns the company’s poor customer support is a reflection of its financial health. It appears the company is no longer updating its software. I suspect the company is on its last legs. it could be an orphaned product. Before you buy the product call the company and try to reach a live person. Calls go unanswered and to voicemail. If you call you will get a standard 2-3 minute wait time before being sent to voicemail. There are tons of complaints on social media. I advise consumers to review them before purchasing.

I travel for business and miss out on many family activities. Games, Daughter riding lessons basically everything. The Soloshot app lets me watch livestream video and when I am at the game I can share with grandparents. It’s worth the investment . Download the Soloshot app and go argue with a ref or a coach. Don’t miss a beat! Haha
