I have the App for my coffeemaker. A couple things regarding using the app to brew: - the alarm / autobrew function WILL NOT ACCEPT EDITS even while I’m on the 2.4 WiFi network and have iOS set for all notifications, as the FAQ recommends. To change the settings, I have to try to save 20X, 30X, or 50X before it works. THIS. IS. INSANE. Fix this problem now please. - I want the coffeemaker to brew at a particular time. The app will not so this without turning itself into an alarm clock. This is stupid. Please me brew coffee at 5:30AM via the app and use my regular alarm clock to wake me up at 6. - there is no way to turn on the warming function without brewing coffee. This is stupid. Other than that, the UI looks nice and the app seems to communicate well with the coffeemaker. I haven’t yet tried to brew via Alexa (using IFTT, I think?) but look forward to that functionality.

Once you get over the set up hurtles it’s a pretty cool app. Search in the App Store for iKettle yielded no results. There were no links to the app on their website that I could find. So I typed in the address for the app listed in the set up instructions included in the box. This led me to a 404 page. The instructions in both the app and the included documentation don’t make clear that the blinking light you’re looking for at the beginning of the process to sync it is on the bottom of the charger base (that info is listed on the following step). You have to manually type the SSID instead of being able to just click on it like most devices. Another issue that I’m having is I have not been able to find a way to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Calibrating the water level failed the first three times. All of these issues led to a very frustrating set up process. After that though it’s pretty remarkable to be able to turn the kettle on before I get out of bed. Great product and app but the set up process and documentation need to be refined.

So the coffee maker will arrive to you set up that you can make a minimum of 4 cups and a max of 12. The company can send you a firmware update letting you go down to a 2 cup minimum which is awesome. The only problem is that the app will only allow you to go down to 4 cups. This means that after I make my coffee in the morning (3 cups), I have to manually switch it to 2 cups for when my wife wakes up. After she has her coffee she has to manually switch it back to 3 cups for me for the next day. We can only use the app to start it if the other person manually set it up. The app is great if we both get up and need to switch it over to 5 (or more) cups.

The app has everything I could need, the only thing that would make it even better is if you could set the scheduled brew times by day and time. Thanks for making a great app to support an excellent coffee maker! I hope you continue to invest in the product line and app!

Was super excited when i bought it, but sadly the issues started piling up. 1 week in already and i lost connection, alarm would not trigger the auto boil at all. Tried to delete and re-pair it and here comes the beautiful part, flashy red light on the bottom of the base and its stopped working, contacted support and awaiting for their answer. ——————————————— As per my previous review Aaron reached out to me and helped out to sort the issue that i had, so far everything works fine with no issues and i am grateful to Smarter team for their follow up and support
