I’ve been looking for an app that just tracks a few nutrients that I’m interested in (added sugars and fiber, specifically). I’d even be willing to enter the actual amounts rather than a list of foods.
I was pretty disappointed by this app. My main disappointment is that it does not track added sugars. This seems dangerous to me, since treating added and natural sugars the same steers users away from healthy choices such as milk and whole fruit.
I was also frustrated by the limited food database. The non-customized food and drinks are mostly behind a paywall. Even after paying, there is no way to use bar codes or brand names to find the most accurate information; a popsicle can have between 0 and 17 grams of sugar, but the only way to specify is by changing the size in ounces.
Worse, you have to pay to create custom foods, and the creation process is annoying. The name space is quite short; good luck getting “Chocolate Covered Banana” in there, much less “Dole Dark Chocolate-Covered Frozen Banana Slices”. The units are only in ounces/grams, rather than the easier-to-calculate per piece, per bar, per square, per 14 chips. I also was unable to find a way to edit or replace a custom food that had a typo or inaccurate information.
I think this app should either have a better food database or greatly improve the Custom Food option.

Thank you for your review. The app has some features that you mentioned, we are sorry if it wasn’t clear enough.
- To enter the actual amounts of sugar rather than a list of foods: press “Add food” on the main screen and select category “Sugar”.
- To select various unit conversion (spoons, cups, slices, etc.): press “Add food” on the main screen, select product, then by taping on food image (left one on the top) there would be different measurement options.
- To edit or replace a custom food: select “Editing the food list” on the setting screen.
In accordance with the recommendations of WHO (Fact sheet N°394 updated September 2015), app helps to control the intake of free sugars (not fiber).
We are planing to add some of features you mention in review in future versions of the app.
