There are only a few steps to theoretically get this sound machine to pair with the app. However, I have tried everything to get this app to pair with the sound machine, including shutting it off and trying it again, deleting the app and reinstalling and resetting the sound machine to factory setting, and nothing works. I keep getting a “scanning device” message with a spinning circle, yet nothing ever happens beyond that. I called Project Nursery customer support, and while it took 1/2 hour to get someone on the phone, the customer support was great. They were unable to figure out what the problem was, so they sent me a new sound machine, thinking the other one must be faulty. I received the new one and tried pairing - same problem. My husband even tried pairing it to his phone and had the same exact issue. Mind you, I have an iPhone X and my husband has an iPhone 8. And we have no issues with our wireless. THIS APP NEEDS TO BE FIXED. Will definitely be returning this $70 product and buying from a different company that has a product that will actually pair with my phone.

This app works roughly 25% of the time. There are a handful of times where you will go in and your device won’t be listed. Takes a few refreshes to get it to display your device. Then there is the chance that at this current time, it just won’t work and allow you to control the device. Hardest part is getting your device added to the app, usually you will have either no WiFi information listed for it to connect to (even though you are on the WiFi, it can’t seem to load the information). If you make it that far, the. You can randomly hang on while “Uploading user data” after selecting the device label which then does nothing, as we’ve had it sit on that for 20 min before.

The product itself works decently, connects to Bluetooth, has great colors and sounds as well as multiple functions for both these settings. Has nice volume settings however the App will not connect the product to my phone. It won’t even show me the product as an option to connect to. This being the main reason I bought it. It’s quite frustrating, however the overall sound soother is not a bad product. Project nursery just needs to update their app.

I Love the app it’s super easy to use and convenient! Instead of having to press the buttons on the Smart Sound Soother to access any of the setting, I can just open the app and control it from there! At first I thought it wasn’t working with my Iphone XS but thank god I read the instructions carefully and the app turned out to work great with my phone!

The sounds are ok. Preferred the sounds from our Sharper Image one but after our son broke it we figured we would try something new. Bought this one so we could use our phones with it. That feature does not actually function. The app will not even allow me to enter my home WiFi. I’m pretty upset with myself for tossing the box before I tried to connect with my phone. Would absolutely return. Don’t waste your money or time!!!
