Small Talk - Daily Learning

I have loved this little App from the beginning! Even the “dad” jokes make me laugh! The only problem I have had was that sometimes I don’t receive the current day’s offerings and I can’t figure out why! Otherwise, love Small Talk and recommend it often!

I love your app, especially the great UI! Here’s what’s missing for me to really enjoy it: - When I try to share a quote, I only want to be able to do it via text. You can do that right now but it is confusing to get to. Then when I click to share it pulls up an advertisement for your app. Of course I don’t want to share three paragraphs about the app. It also doesn’t include the actual quote I was on and wanted to share. This is a big flaw. I wanted to share one of the things that I found but couldn’t because of that! I ended up highlighting the text and copying it myself. - I tried to give you this feedback within the app so I wouldn’t have to give you a poor review, but I couldn’t find anywhere to do that so I ended up here.

I enjoyed the app Smalltalk until today’s word of the day. The word was “espouse” and the example is “Armenians who did not espouse the ‘national cause’ were murdered.” Outrageous! This sentence is historically inaccurate, false propaganda and offensive. Armenians were killed in the 1915 Genocide by Turks because of their religion and nationality. My innocent grandparents and ancestors were murdered, slaughtered and terrorized. Several countries and the US Congress just passed a bill recognizing this historical fact which is called Genocide. Shame on you! I hope it is sheer ignorance rather than the evil continuation of lies. You must withdraw this false example from the definition. Can you imagine if you had written “Jews who did not espouse the ‘national cause’ were murdered”? Until we face the truth, history will sadly repeat itself.

Enjoy my quick visit to smalltalk each morning. An inspiring quote, a historical fact, a piece of advice, a quick fact,a new word each day and a joke. Takes minutes to read. There is a way to save those quotes or facts that you like. I like that it has a beginning and end each day. I don’t get lost in it like other apps (Instagram)and can count on quality content each day.

I really enjoy the simplicity of the design & the content it provides daily. There’s always room for improvement. I would add a bonus item to the daily content. I check the app every day to start my day. Keep up the work & I expect big updates in the future.
