the camera has an AI neural engine to recognize people or movement of objects and to recognize faces and known faces at the edge (no cloud needed) but development is ongoing so will see if stars go up with continuous improvements or down with stalled enhancements. Currently i would rate it 2 stars as sw app is poor with inconsistent streaming of live view and alerts, but i don't regret the purchase as i see updates happening, but instructions are poor, UI is not very responsive/intuitive, but since i can easily see the AI blow away arlo, ring, blink, canary etc.... that don't have AI and being edge based (akin to free of monthly service charges) this has the potential to be so much smarter / cost effective than the competition - will buy several more if they improve the sw.

If you are looking for a security camera in an insecure neighborhood or you want to see what happened in your house, I bet you will love this camera because it will keep working all day as a security camera should be. I found this camera and looks pretty nice to me, to be honest I did check on all the features of it. When the package arrived, and after the setup process, the features started coming up. This camera has night vision, an intercom feature, motion detection and movement tracking if you set the detection zone.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the AI, but it really does a good job of avoiding false positives, only recording when a real person enters the frame. I set mine camera up to monitor the side of my house, where we had been having trouble with vandals. The camera is designed to be used indoors. Some users, me included, use it outdoors. I purchased a tight-fitting enclosure to mount up under an eave, which ought to protect them from direct rain and snow, but I don’t have the expectation that they will last for years in that configuration.

IFTTT was added late. And I followed the video about how to set it. Easy to make it and have a more smart camera than before. I think I fall in love with the update and I hope you will update more other skills. The IFTTT can turn on or off the personal mode automatically, when I go home, the camera will turn off which is smart and avoid false alerts. When I go to work, the camera will start working and watching your house.

I completely agree with all other reviews of this camera. Quality-Price-Ratio is very high for this product. I purchased it as baby monitor and it has all the features I needed. It is very quiet and easy to use WIFI from my iOS devices. You can connect to this camera even outside of your home network. You can take photos and videos remotely and it also supports two-way audio.
