Sadly one of those cases where the reviews are accurate. Tried it on both iPhoneX and latest iPad Pro and it does not seem to work. You press play on a case, a little slider appears for a split second (presumably the audio clip timeline scrubber) and then it disappears again and the app is unresponsive. A shame.

I mean, it accommodates a board game so don’t be expecting anything grand but it does exactly as it says in the manual. You click on the specific case you’re doing, press the play button and listen to the person explain the case. I’ve had no issues with audio or anything. Basically, it does as advertised, so even though on its own (obviously) its not going to do much; it accompanies the game so if there’s nothing wrong with it and it says in the manual “[...] before getting into a case we recommend that select it in the app and listen to the initial facts instead of reading them in the booklet” so you know that you aren’t receiving a proper game........ I’ll give that 5 stars. You can’t compare the software to the larger market of the AppStore since...... this isn’t a standalone thing. Like it can literally only be used (properly) if you are going to play the thing after. So yeah, alone it’s not as good as kingdom rush........ but kingdom rush is a stand-alone game, this is just here so you can listen to what’s said rather than read, and I like it.

To those saying the first scenario doesn’t play, try scrolling to the second, pressing play on that then scrolling back and playing the first. This fixed it for us.

I couldn’t get the sound to work at first - then realised it was because my phone was on ‘silent’. Nice to have the excerpts read out, added a dimension to the game. Really can’t complain!

Just make sure your volume is switched on.
